I hate to say this about the post office in the town I grew up in, but the McGregor Post Office has been consistently one of the worst postal experiences I’ve ever had.
Every visit feels more like an obstacle course than a service. Today I went to mail a package, and my box was refused, first because they “didn’t like” the box I brought (even though I had a sticker to cover it), and then again because the reused shipping box had a hazmat label that could have easily been removed. Instead of helping me fix the issue, the staff chose to reject it altogether.
This isn’t just a one-off; I cannot think of a single pleasant experience I’ve had here. The staff and management have been the same for years, and nothing about the culture has improved. It feels like customer service is an afterthought.
USPS locations in other towns work with you, not against you. McGregor deserves the same level of service.

Very tired of the older gentleman constantly complaining about how close my husband parks to the mail box…IT IS NOT BLOCKED, it’s just not to this carriers liking. Our street is packed with vehicles and our neighbors have multiple to where my husband has to compensate to be polite and get out. This mail carrier is the only one who does this, everyone else just does their job not wasting time putting notes on cars, in boxes, or practically yelling at the resident to move their vehicle because it’s a minor inconvenience in their head. Just retire or get over it please.

Whoever the drivers are then handle the route from Charter Oak all the way out to Indian Trails needs to pay closer attention. I have scheduled a pickup a few times now and I had to bring it up to the office myself to get shipped out on time... the drivers don't check and end up not picking it up from my house. The ladies who work at the office here in town are as sweet as can be.

Very disappointed in the service of my mail delivery man. I live on a very small street with only 8 homes on the street and 2 of those home have mailboxes on there front porch so he has to get out of his truck to deliver there mail but I have a car that is 14 feet from my mail box he can't deliver my mail because he doesn't want to get OUT of his truck to deliver to me but will put a note In the mail box to say my mail is on hold and not my mail. They need to go back to the day where the delivery person would park down the street and walk from house to house with his little bag of mail and if there was a package that needed to be dropped off they would then drive the mail to the house park GET OUT OF THE TRUCK AND WALK TO THE HOUSE TO DELIVER. people are truly lazy now a days and don't want to actually work for there money. DO BETTER MCGREGOR

Normally this is a very reliable and great mail service, BUT... I have had several incidences over the last several months of packages being opened or at least the lid pride up to see what was inside before it was delivered to my front door. I filed a complaint through the main USPS website, and they told me that this particular location would be reaching out to me in regards to my claim... never heard from them. This would be the cause for my review.

Live in Apt and at times I don't get parcels delivered to my apartment. If parcel locker is to small for the parcel some carriers just leave a notice while others make the delivery. Don't know if the Post Master has a no delivery policy or some carriers are just lazy

The postman (Curtis) for the west side of town blows an air horn at our dogs everyday. They are in our backyard, he's not even walking buy, he drives buy and blows horn for no reason.

I have used McGregor Post (Rural Route) office for two years. Within this time, I have had approximately one to two packages (being shipped to myself) lost per week. When I have called to report the multiple missing packages. I have a business that ships multiple packages out a day as well which they are often "lost" and never scanned in. I have completed many reports with the USPS investigation department with no response. Once I moved my shipping address to my business address in the town of McGregor I have had no issues receiving my mail. I believe that the rural worker has been stealing multiple packages. This has been an issue with others in my neighborhood as well.

Came in at 8am to retrieve a package that was supposed to be delivered the day before. Rang the bell because there is a sign that clearly states “ring bell for service” and was met by the rudest employee saying “dang we just opened no need for the bell” my issue was resolved but y’all really need to get y’all stuff together.
