Personable service, very rare considering you can’t even find anyone in the big box stores

Great tech people. Best assortment of screws in town. If you need hardware. This is the place.
So i guess what i am saying is...
If you need a good screw, Ace is the place...

New to the area and headed to a big box store when I saw this Ace Hardware. Turned around and glad I did! Patrick was able to help me find the exact screw I needed to fix some dresser handles. Friendly service from the time I walked in to the time I left…and they had cinnamon square lollipops that I remember from my childhood so I picked those up for my kids to try. Thanks for a great experience - I’ll definitely be back!

Don’t ever buy a Stihl product from here (any westlake ace), the staff is great but when it comes to Stihl they don’t have a dedicated service department, only have one person able to look at them, it’ll be a week + to be looked at, they only are able to diagnosis basic issues, and if they can’t fix the problem they try to outsource to someone you have to pay to fix your product which is ridiculous. BRAND NEW $400 trimmer won’t run correct from the first day it was purchased, had it there once already to be looked at, Now it won’t even start up.

Good hardware store. Happy they had the screw sizes I was looking for. But unlike Plano I don't think they got everything in store. Missing acrylic plastic sheets etc. But overall good ppl

We bought an Ego electric riding mower from the McKinney Store (on Westlake) and if there was a way to give negative stars we would do it. I ordered it online while ACE employee was on the phone, (it’s over $5k item) and they told me to have it delivered to the store, and the store would deliver it to us. When I called to arrange delivery date, the delivery guy (Drew) told me “no we can’t deliver it.” When I told him ACE employee told us it would be delivered when we ordered it, he just said “nope sorry.” He did say they’d help load it onto a trailer. Not being familiar with trailers much, we rented a U-Haul trailer & bought tie-downs (at ACE and they did t give us discount) but no one at ACE knew how to properly use the racheting clips. A young guy looked it up online but still couldn’t get it right, so they “rigged it.” When we turned around in parking lot, there was a speed bump, and when we drove over it the steering column slumped over meaning the assembly done by ACE Hardware employees is very questionable. If I never buy here again it’ll be too soon!
UPDATE: I received a response telling me to call the very store that screwed up. My aim is not to improve their business but to alert other customers about their incompetence.

Came in for something they showed to be in stock only for no employee to know the product and to not have on hand even though inventory shows available… good waste of a errand

I wish I could give zero stars. I recommend Home Depot. Most of these so-called Ace hardwares are independent owners who have their own rules. Will never shop with Ace again. Home Depot has everything you have and more! Thanks for canceling my order, I guess the price wasn’t right for you!
