DAVID “DJ” (Assistant Store Mgr…I am BLOWN AWAY for starters!! My husband and I just had the most incredible experience at this store! We would give 1000 stars if we could! We have a three year old EGO mower that wouldn’t start and is not under warranty. We were so grateful that starting with Ed on the phone, we could even bring it in and have it diagnosed!!! We understood it could take up to two months for repair but “DJ” checked it immediately and thought it might be a fuse. Within 15 minutes (or less) we were walking out with our WORKING EGO lawn mower!!!! How kind everyone there was from Ed to the cashier (so sorry I didn’t get her name to “DJ” who went above and beyond to take the time to make what was a nightmare for two grateful people in their mid 70’s into one of life’s greatest Blessings!!! We can not thank you enough “DJ” for what you did for us today!!! You are a BLESSING!!! (…and please thank Ed…so helpful and started the ball rolling!)

Deferred NOT THE HELPFUL PLACE! So unhelpful it's awful. Young kid has no clue what I'm asking about. Told me to go to the manager who was on the register and told me he cannot help either. Never returning here. I have plantar fasciitis, it's horribly painful to walk. I walked to the back of the store hoping to get help about pumps and hoses and the young employee just pointed me to the general area. Couldn't answer any questions. I asked about hoses for the tankless water heater and he just pointed me to spools of hoses. I sat down by the "hub" to look up stuff on my phone but no Internet inside the store. As soon as I got to the front door, signal came on. Also, unprofessional for the management to chew tobacco. This isn't the helpful place it once was known for. I hate to go to Big box stores so I might give Elliott's hardware a try instead.

Drove from Sherman to this location, under the impression they had an item in stock due to information from the website. I was then told that they don't have it in stock, and I mentioned the information from the website, the response was "Yeah, that's broken don't ever trust that." That feels like a pretty weak and statement, and I no long want to interact with Ace if they cannot be trusted. Why have a system that delivers information if it cannot be valued and trusted. and instead of working to make it right, the response is "nothing we can do, don't trust it."Sad display & a poor showing.

I had an issue, self-inflicted on my part, with my eGo mower and the man who helped me could not have been more friendly and helpful. 10 minutes later I was on my way with a working mower. Try to find this level of service at the large home improvement stores - you can’t. Shop local, it matters.

Doesn't always have every thing but has what I need...! Helpful staff always, and has what we need when we need it. Support is always great, and they deliver, assemble, etc when needed.

Ghetto mentality managed location.The ACE website shows they currently have a high dollar specialty item in stock, but when I tried to purchase they claim they just sold it but point out they could order me one, one day later they are still showing in stock. This is why the big box stores are thriving, and the little shyster locations such as this one become thrift stores.Update: it's another day and they are still showing item in stock, but instead of removing they are disputing my review, so just like I said "SHYSTERS".

They almost always have what I'm looking for and the sales people are always friendly and helpful. Was told by one of the people working here that the type of sales they do between Princeton and this location are quite different so the stock of items reflects those different markets.

I like Ace Hardware for lots of reasons.Mainly, the people who work there.Always courteous and helpful.They also carry items that other "places" have discontinued.I'll usually drive past the other guys to go here.Ace is the place...

Would give more stars, but service was sub-par this visit. Came in to look for a replacement Toro bag. Website shows as available in store. I looked first on my own and didn't find it. I asked for help, and the associate looked at the computer and told me it was not available in store but that she could sell me a new machine. I then left a bit frustrated, and I then looked again at the website to confirm while still in the parking lot. It was showing there. I went in again, and I found what I was looking for. They did indeed have the bag. Then, I went to check out, and I asked about buying a couple of wood packs for a fire. The associate at the register asked me which one. I told her just the plain firewood was fine. I did not need pinion. She then asked me which one was on display outside. I was not sure, and rather than her ask another associate or check herself, she had me go outside and validate myself. Not proper service at all. I'm glad I got what I needed, but the service was sorely lacking today. Usually, I have a much better experience.

Don't place online orders with this location. Neither delivery or pickup. They'll just cancel with no justification or notice. Best to pick a different Ace Hardware.

I had a fantastic experience at Ace Hardware. The store had a great selection of specialty metric bolts and nuts, and the service was top-notch. The McKinney staff was knowledgeable and provided excellent assistance. Highly recommend for anyone in need of specific hardware items.
