My son purchased a 2018 Ford Mustang from carmax of McKinney on April 10, 2025 HORRIBLE! The motor has went out which is costing $4,430 to fix and they aren’t trying to do anything to help. The service is terrible and they DONT attempt to help u AT ALL!! Do NOT shop at carmax of McKinney they are careless and will not try to fix the lemons they sale.
DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS LOCATION! From march until today has been terrible. (12/13/2025) the motor is blown in my son’s vehicle. We have hired an attorney as he has drove his car but maybe 2 weeks since he’s had. Service is terrible they are willing to repair faulty cars they sale.. DONT GO TO CARMAX OF MCKINNEY!!!

Easiest, best, fast experience i have ever had buying a vehicle. Idk her last name but I spoke to Samantha on the phone and she made all the process go so smooth, and prob would have backed out wo her, then when go to the lot Carson Coburn made me feel right at home and worked out all the little details and got me in and out in my new truck on my lunch break. I think carmax will be my car buying place from now on. Thank u all

Great car buying experience! Things were straight forward and simple with no surprises in final steps of buying process. No pressure throughout the process and quick to answer questions. First time visiting a CarMax today. Wow, I love that all the cars were unlocked so we could sit in several and get a feel for what makes and models we liked or didn’t like. Going to regular car lots and having to have a sales person go fetch keys and let you into one car at a time (maximum 3 cars before we are depleted of energy) is exhausting. At CarMax, we sat in maybe 20 vehicles. This was INCREDIBLY helpful for narrowing down what we wanted! The only downside was that some of the cars smelled gross inside, unpleasant and strong. But once we decide what we want, we will check CarMax first. Overall, very pleased with the experience.
