March 2024 by Make Dragon Age Great Again
I never thought transferring some money from my checking to my savings could be frustrating, but this bank proved me wrong. First, ATM messes up again, it does so at this location often, as such won't let me access my savings. Have to go inside to transfer some money from my checking to my savings. Second go inside forced to wait because tellers are too busy talking to each other about non work related topics, one finally notice me calls me up. I ask to transfer money from my savings to my checking the teller Says ok tells me to fill out my own deposit and withdrawal slip because this bank feels its employees are exempt from too much work apparently, this is the only bank I've been to where the customer is forced to fill these things for the teller. Then over the course of about 10 minutes the teller asks me two times "so you want to transfer from your savings to your checking?" Both times I repeat "no from my checking to my savings." Then, apparently having worked too hard on the small request to transfer money, the teller sends me over to the other teller. She then says to the new teller that I want "to transfer money from my saving to my checking" and for the third time I have to say "no I want to transfer money from my checking to my savings." Then the new teller spends three minutes trying to continue from where the previous teller failed before asking me again what it was I was trying to do? So for the fifth time in the span of 13 minutes I have to say "i want to transfer money from my checking to my savings." Another 3 minutes go by but finally the herculean task of transferring five bucks from my checking to my savings was complete. Genuinely, if you have the option, go to any other bank because there is like a 95% chance they won't be as terrible as this particular location.

I've been with this bank since it was Plano Bank and Trust. It was a painful transition from Legacy to Prosperity but since then I've been treated very well by the staff. I'm 80 and don't know the lingo so I usually stutter out what I think the problem is. They always figure out how to help. I have no plans to move moneys.

This bank is garbage, you can't use your card "YOUR MONEY" most the time. So pretty much is your money but they hold the power to it, you can't use your debit card at so many locations or online. Save yourself the trouble and stress go to CHASE or something, this bank is complete trash. If you want to try abs purchase something but can't use your card, this is the bank for you. Good luck with PROSPERITY BANK. I'LL DEFINITELY BE SWITICHING BANKS SOON.

Worst bank they always try to cuz off your card I used the mobile banking chat to try to dispute charges the sad it was takin care of. then I called when I heard nothing back I called and disputed the charges and still have heard nothing every since they merged prosperity has been the worst bank I've ever banked with. they have the most lazy rude workers as soon as they fix the problem I will be leaving as I've had nothing with but problems with them and I advise every one who thinks about banking with them to definitely find a bank that cares or actually works.

The bank is nice on the inside, and the customer service at this location is very pleasant. However, the fraud protection prevents us from using our debit card, and is run through a third party. Attempting to place simple amazon order resulted in a cycle of receiving a text message from Prosperity that they detected fraud, in which you are supposed to be able to confirm through text if it was or wasn't. This service does not actually work. They will then call you, and yell a case number at your voicemail, so you can call their third party fraud department. If you call and state it wasn't fraud using your case number on their automated system, that you in fact made a purchase, they will still hold your card. If you wait the 36-45 minutes it takes to get someone on the phone from their third party fraud center, they will be of absolutely no use. I know because we did this 4 times in one day. They will tell you the hold is off your card and the transaction will go through, but it won't. If you call Prosperity's customer service they will send you back to the third party fraud department. I know because we did that 3 times in one day. If you want a bank where you can never, ever make an online purchase and want to spend 5 hours of your day off being told your card will work 'this time', this is the bank for you. If you want to be able to access your account online on a user friendly interface, this is not the bank for you. If you want to be able to make a purchase online and not have your card held for fraud despite going through their customer service and again, a third parry fraud department, for hours; this is not the bank for you. If all you want is a bank that you can go inside to make deposits and withdrawals and you write one check once a month, this is the bank for you. Cancelling my account now.

I had been a customer since the late '80s when they were Richardson Credit Union and every iteration thereof until I moved out of state in the early 2000s.I moved back nearly 20 years later and signed up for new accounts. Within a year it was announced that Prosperity was buying Legacy TexasSince the changeover, I am amazed at how badly everything has devolvedSince Prosperity Bank bought Legacy Texas, every aspect of their product has devolved into something completely outdated. Even the cards issued by Prosperity are low quality.
