Make sure you get there early or else you won’t get good customer service. I walked in 10 minutes before closing and just had a few questions. I’m currently in the middle of a remodel for a media room, so I wanted to ask if they had speakers they would recommend and could they install them. When I walked in, no one was in the showroom. I waited about four or five minutes and finally someone came out. I asked if they were closed. The man looked at his watch and said, “Yep, we’re about to close.” Made me feel like I was inconveniencing him. I worried about how they would install products and the service they would provide if they weren’t even willing to ask what I needed.

I can't recommend these guys enough. From the first time I walked in the door of the McKinney store, they were helpful, friendly, and very knowledgable. We were building a new house and it was our first new build so this was all new to me. They consulted me through the whole process and came out pre-drywall and took picture and measurements for the installs they were going to do. We had a media room, in-ceiling speakers and two tvs to have installed. At every step of the process from consultation, quotes, to installation, they were amazing. We're extremely happy with everything and I look forward to a great relationship over the coming years when I ultimately add more fun toys to the house!!

Myhomedia is an absolutely amazing team of top notch professionals who really hit it out of the park and know their stuff. Since we had a dedicated media room in our new house we contacted them for a consultation. They gave us a great plan that worked perfectly for our small space and did it within our budget. The installation went smooth and they corrected a few minor issues before finishing. We couldn't possibly be happier with the entire process from consultation to completion. I would highly recommend them for your home theatre.

Don’t look past these guys for any of your media room needs. MyHomeMedia is simply the best and i gave done 4 projects with them so far and they go above and beyond for making the customers happy. The project they recently did was for my new build home and they had to redo some of the wiring. They did all the wire concealing and if you see the finished project you will be elated!These guys are simply THE BEST! They work within your budget as well but you get what you pay for and if you need good clean finished product they are the guys.A special thank you to everyone at MyHomeMedia. We had a fantastic experience with Myhomedia! From start to finish, it was flawless. They recommended the best equipment to fit our budget and we don't feel like we sacrificed an ounce on quality. The installation crew was top-notch. Arrived on-time, super professional, quiet while working (not including the stellar sound system in the media room), finished quickly, left behind no mess, and very thorough in their equipment debrief. Needless to say, we are thrilled with our media room and we highly recommend Myhomedia. We will be calling on them again for our future home media needs.

Our builder used MyHomedia for all the prewiring for our new home and I wish I looked elsewhere when it came to making our home "smart." Needless to say, working with them was the biggest mistake of my entire home building process and the worst decision I've ever made in my life. If I could go back in time, I would've had them prewire my home for Ethernet, then shut the door. Michael was our go-to guy and working with him was horrible. He doesn't listen, doesn't focus on your needs, won't ever ask about your budget (you pay out of pocket in full, SURPRISE!), won't involve you in the purchasing process until there's an invoice, will only tell you what you do/don't want without any explanation, and he'll push Control4 on you as if that's the only option. We made it very clear from the start that we're hands-on people, want some level of control over our setup, and had specific requirements that we want met. We unfortunately trusted him to provide the best solution for a setup they said would be super simple: 5.1 surround in the family room, 2 speakers in the bathroom, internet, security cameras/system, and 1 app that controls it all. I should've seen all the red flags, but the stress of building a home and all the hustle involved really clouded my judgement. Let me start by saying if you want a bunch of unprofessional frat boys in your home, go with MHM. The pandemic was in full force, yet I had to constantly ask the guys to wear a mask in my home during the 3 day installation. Not only that, Brian (the lead) had the hardest time configuring everything and had to consult Rob (allegedly the best in the region) the whole time and still, our setup was complete shit. On top of that, we purchased a brand new Samsung TV in preparation for the installation, but Samsung and something in the setup wouldn't cooperate with each other so a majority of the time, our sound and TV wouldn't work. A majority of the issues we ended up having had to do with compatibility. Mind you, we were building from the ground up and MHM was aware of our build from the start. We could've easily made everything compatible but none of this was discussed nor mentioned to us until it was too late. After day 1 of the installation, we noticed a lot of buggy behavior with our setup. They came out on day 2 and basically put a bandaid on everything. Then a few days later, same thing: nothing worked. We spent weeks troubleshooting (partly because it was Christmas and New Years so we were on our own) only to discover nothing met our expectations. The thing that really irked us was that we had specific requirements and discussed them multiple times and in detail to Michael (i.e. cameras with audio). He said he could deliver on all of those things and yet, when installation day came and we asked the crew, "how do we turn on the audio for the cameras?" they laughed and said, "take that up with Michael, your cameras don't come with audio." The phase "you'll need to ask Michael" was said nonstop for 3 days. It was frustrating to say the least. Nearly a month later, we had enough and met with Michael to discuss a resolution. He decided to "show himself out" of our home and was obviously pissed that we weren't happy. Our complaint went up the chain to Jonathan who apologized for Michael and his team's behavior and after some back and forth, offered a resolution that we both deemed fair. I'lol give them 2 stars for the things we DID keep: internet, cameras, and sound system. After getting rid of their stuff and C4, everything now works very well. I think MHM's flaw is that they bank on people wanting a set-it-and-forget-it system, but folks these days are more DIY so they should consider that. When you drop 5 figures on a setup, you expect the best, but all we got was a mega headache and a lot of regrets. We could've (and have, in some respects) gotten a better outcome with Ring, which is a fraction of the cost. MHM

great experience from start to finish. I know close to nothing regarding technology and presales/installers both made me comfortable and confident that myhomedia was the only choice to go with. thank you!
