Wouldn’t recommend getting your dog bathed here. Virginia sent me home with a wet dog and made excuses to not finish drying him even after I asked her to do so. My dog has been to the groomer since he was a puppy, and I’ve never had this issue.

The staff at this store and very friendly and knowledgeable. They helped us pick out the perfect Beta fish. I never knew there were so many kinds!

0/5 if I could. DO NOT COME HERE or purchase any animals from them!! I came to this location to buy an item for my bearded dragon and as I was walking by I saw this poor little beardie crammed in the corner by his water because there was so much feces in almost every spot you could think of in the enclosure. It looks as if the feces has been there for a while as well, all in his food as well possibly giving him a parasite. I’m definitely going to report this location but I am writing this review as a warning that this place is neglectful and they do not deserve to have animals in their possession. They clearly do not care about them. This is so sickening and heartbreaking to see as someone who owns a bearded dragon and many other pets.

This is absolutely not okay. 3 Workers standing in the front of the store while this is going on. Poop in his food bowl, water and so many all over. No way none of them saw this. Neglect like this should close a whole store. And all the people in side should be ashamed and fired. That had to be there for a long time to be so many. As a dragon owner myself, I know that this is neglect and abuse. I will be contacting corporate on this matter immediately.

Ordered same day delivery for cat wet food and received cans expired in March 2023 (it’s April 2024 as of this review). This has happened multiple times so make sure to double check expirations on any food you buy from here.

My experiences at this store have been good for the most part, the staff on the sales floor always seem to be willing to help; but my interaction with Gloria (cashier) yesterday has made me decide not to purchase any more fish from PetSmart. I purchased a betta on 12-Apr-2024. Within days, she started exhibiting signs of having dropsy (only fed once on 13-Apr, water parameters: Ammonia 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 10). I decided to return her because she hadn’t improved by day 5 and dropsy isn’t always cured. When I told the cashier why I was returning (day 6), she first insinuated I was the reason the fish was sick and then said, “Since she’s not dead, you have to talk to the fish department first.” It was incredibly insensitive to tell someone struggling with returning a pet they essentially must be dead first. I spoke with the manger of the aquatics department, and he was very understanding. I told him the issue and he quickly approved the return. Once I returned to the register, Gloria continued to interrogate me, and I told her if she wanted to know the condition of the fish to speak to the manager. I don’t know if there was a particular reason she was behaving this way towards me, but she was incredibly nice to the customer in front of me and behind me. It seems her attitude was biased. This experience was traumatic enough that I will not purchase any other live fish from PetSmart.

The woman who always checks us out at the register is super friendly. They always have the cat food and litter I need in stock so no issues there. Unfortunately, as a fish hobbyist I have to shop elsewhere. There are always multiple dead fish in the tanks and the tanks look like they are lacking in maintenance. The selection of fish and aquarium supplies is also a bit lacking compared to competitors.

Today at this Mckinney location me and my family did not had a good experience at all. We came to buy some gold fish. and the person at that department did not let us buy the 4 gold fish. even though we have 10 gallon fish tank. He said I will only let you buy 1 because you have only 10 gallon fish tank but at the same time they have 50+ gold fish in their 10 gallon fish tank. We left the store and went to the other store. I will not shop from there anymore just because the behavior. the person did that to other people too who were there before us and they left the store as well. We have bought fish from there before multiple times and never had a bad experience. But he said the other people are not trained and they dont know what they were doing.

staff is absolutely not train how to deal with energetic puppies . Need improvement in how to work with scared puppies. Will not recommend to anyone with new puppy
