I went to this store about a week ago. I was browsing and an employee asked me if I was finding everything alright. I said I was. I picked 1 pair of shoes and took another to the counter to ask if they had that pair in a different size. The store manager is really friendly and helpful. Another employee asked him if she could help with my transaction. The store manager put a caller on hold (he was on the phone with an employee) to help me, which I appreciated. The staff are all friendly and helpful. My shoes were delivered to me free because they didn’t have my size. The store is clean, lots of shoes, and friendly staff. Their bogo deal is a good one! Thanks!

This is hands down the best shoe store in the county! The store is always clean, organized, and very kid-friendly, which makes shopping here such a pleasant experience for families. I especially want to shine a light on Alex, who is incredibly professional, kind, and helpful. Alex goes above and beyond to make sure customers find exactly what they need and leave happy. It’s rare to find such genuine customer service these days, and Alex truly stands out. Highly recommend Rack Room Shoes — especially thanks to Alex’s outstanding service!

I came to this store to return a pair of shoes I ordered online. I didn’t have the receipt that they said they needed to return the shoes but had an order number and email. I was told by the two female employees that I could not return without the paper that came in the box. Since I live 30 minutes from the nearest location, I went to my car and called the corporate number. 10 minutes later I had a barcode emailed to me that I used to return the shoes. At no point did the two employees offer this advice. Rack Room Shoes: please train your employees and let’s get with it. It’s 2025 and nearly every online retailer has a barcode to return an item in the confirmation email. Will not be shopping here again.

Very rude female employee. Please smile. It doesn’t cost anything to smile. If you hate your job please find a job that fits your personality. Retail is not for you.

My daughters shoes came completely apart within weeks. They called this wear and tear. So, if your looking for shoes to last you more than 2-3 weeks do not buy from this store. Theres a reason why there cheap deals. Cheap shoes.

Yesterday, I visited the store and purchased two pairs of Skechers. One of the boxes was missing a shoe, so I asked for assistance. A staff member retrieved the missing shoe for me. When I went to check out, the cashier seemed upset for some reason. She asked for my phone number, and when I gave it to her, she said she couldn't find it in the system. I repeated the number three times, but she still said it didn’t work. I even provided a different number, but she claimed it wasn’t in the system either. At that point, I told her it was fine and to forget about it.
Later, I went to another store, and when they asked for my number, the same one I had given earlier worked perfectly, which left me confused about why it didn't work at the first store.
When I got home, I checked the shoes and realized one pair was dirty—it looked like they gave me the display model that everyone had been trying on. I was polite to the cashier, so I don’t understand why she acted that way. Unfortunately, I didn’t get her name from the receipt.
I called the store today to explain what happened, and they told me they no longer had my size, except at a far-away location. My question is, why did the cashier treat me like that when I hadn't done anything to her, and why was I given a used, dirty shoe?

1751 N Central Expy STE F,
McKinney, TX 75070
Came here around 12:55pm on 8/16.
Cashier was very rude. I was attempting to return shoes. I didn't have paper receipt but I had online purchase History on rack rooms website along with an order number. She didn't even attempt to look up my order she just told me that "we don't do that". I called Rackroom in Allen Outlet. The ladies there took their time trying to find my order until they realized they wouldn't see it because it came from another store. I really appreciated their effort. I then called the store where I purchased the shoes.
They also looked up my order with no problem.
Told me to go to any close location and tell the staff to call them. I went to the Allen outlet location and returned the shoes with no problem.
The woman at the first location 1751 N Central Expy STE F,
McKinney, TX 75070 was rude and didn't try to help me at all. I also feel she was racist and that she was happy to turn me around. It really hurt my feelings.

The store clerk Crystal will be reported immediately to the corporate office for her racial profiling and rude demeanor as my family and I were in the store to purchase and exchange a pair of shoes. She followed us around the entire time, and no one should be subjected to that type of behavior or be allowed to manage any place of employment with racist behavior toward certain types of customers. This will be addressed immediately. Rack Room should be ashamed to have a person like this represent any store branch. Just because she is unhappy and miserable with her personal life, does not give her the right to mistreat customers, bottomline!

Rack room shoes has the worst customer service. I bought these shoes one week ago. Wore maybe twice and started to feel like they were too big, which in my past experience with sizing issues has never been a problem especially if you are making a exchange. Brought them in to exchange it for a size that would feel better. The manager (who was wearing no name tag-dark hair bright eyes) rudely told me they would not allow me to exchange them. She was not friendly whatsoever and was very condescending. She explained the policy which is very frustrating when places like Amazon, target, and footlocker are so amazing with their returns. Will not be shopping here any longer especially if exchanges of items less than a week old are not allowed. You’ll find much better service at another store!
