Shout out to maintenance. I am super impressed when I first moved here the maintenance was a little shabby. but whatever changes they made maintenance is top-tier put in a work request Thinking that they would be here in a couple of days and bam only took about 2-3 hours

Based off the recent reviews, its clear an incentive was given to residents who left a positive review. SOHO is trying to cover up the fact that this is an awful place to live, they will charge you for damages that were there prior... and yes, there WILL be damages and dirt. Dumpsters are constantly over flowing, parking is worse than trying to find a spot in downtown dallas. There are kids running through halls, up and down stairs, screaming, knocking on doors, etc. If you need something fixed you would do better to look it up on youtube before relying on Maintenance to fix it for you at all, let alone in a reasonable time. Calls are constantly going to Voicemail, so trying to let the office know about issues might be something you want to do in person. Overall, I would not recommend staying here. There are places surrounding it that are exceedingly better as far as interior updates, and overall property management. I would not recommend you move here if you have the option to go elsewhere.

Truly not even sure where to start in this review but I guess I can start with what would be most relevant to someone looking to move here. I lived at this complex from September 2023 until November 2024. Within the first month of moving in, I had my welcome sign stolen off my front door. So then I hung a ring camera which, for the remainder of my time there, had “ding-dong ditchers” regularly. Annoying, but not a huge deal, and agreeably outside of Soho Parkway’s control. Just mentioning this to speak to the area. The move in process was extremely difficult due to lack of communication from the leasing agents, even being able to get our mailbox number and access our mail took WEEKS because we were given the wrong keys three times. Then the problems with our fridge started, the back of our freezer would freeze up and cause the fans to stop working- maintenance blamed this on us over packing our freezer. So we heavily limited what was kept in our freezer yet the problem persisted. Eventually, after NUMEROUS maintenance requests and MONTHS of a fridge not working (we resulted to using a mini fridge and had so many spoiled groceries), they finally said they would put in an order for a new fridge. This request took about three weeks and it was only after multiple follow up calls initiated by me that they held up this promise. The fridge they brought into our apartment wasn’t even the correct size, they shoved it in there, and they didn’t hook up the water line so we moved it ourselves and did that. Mind you- they take forever to respond to these maintenance requests. (Moved in Sept 2023 did not receive new fridge til July 2024). On the topic of maintenance and conditions of the apartment- we did experience a bad ant problem which I resolved by using poison from Walmart and bad hard water staining in our shower from a/c drip (only appeared after the first few months), was a pain to keep clean and there was no way to catch the water. (See photos attached). I brought this to their attention but they claimed there was no fix. Another huge issue I experienced here was the parking… if you need to go out or come home after 8pm GOOD LUCK finding a spot. Usually I would have to find a spot in the back near the dumpsters and walk a good distance to my complex, which is fine because I am young but definitely something to consider for the older tenants. Speaking of the dumpsters, I feel so bad for anyone that lives in those back buildings near the dog park because the trash can get piled so high, very poorly managed. Another thing to note for anyone looking to move in- Soho Parkway had us use their electric company (CoServ) which was much more costly than most providers I have used in the past. I’ve covered a lot so far but unfortunately there is more. In November 2024 I provided a 60 day notice and paid to have my lease broken. The official move out was January 2025. It was not until this month, November 2025, that I was made aware of an outstanding amount due from Soho Parkway that went to collections. Upon calling the collection agency, they provided a breakdown of the outstanding amount due- it was for move out repairs. Majority of the items listed were items I noted in my move-in inspection such as the outside of my front door being dented. However, I am not disputing these fees, my main concern and warning for others is that I never received ANY notification from Soho Parkway of an outstanding move-out/ damage fee due. Upon contacting them for this, they claim they cannot provide any information as it has already been sent to collections and I need to get further details from collections (which I did obviously). They have my email and forwarding address so I genuinely do not understand why I was never provided with the list of damages and move out fees. Soho Parkway’s website claiming these are “luxury apartments” is a joke especially for the price of rent, I do not recommend these apartments to anyone.

Me and my husband moved in on October 9th. Since the day we toured, Annie was very kind and helpful. She was also very patient with me and all the changes I might have needed before moving in. On our move-in date, everything went smooth and even though Annie wasn't able to be present, she left everything ready for Irene to help us that day.
On our move-in day, everything went pretty smooth and we have been happy with our decision of moving here. The apartment itself had some things to fix or replace, but this is a normal thing in almost any apartment complex. I have been grateful with the whole team here at Soho as they have responded quickly to our needs and requests. I gave a 5 star review because I believe that nothing will ever be perfect, but having a team that actually cares is what adds a great value to the community. :)

My mom was stressed about finding something. Irene gave me detailed information on the floor plans, and price answered my million questions via text, and I signed remotely. Smooth process for a short term lease.

The move-in process here definitely involved a lot of paperwork and took some time, but Irene, our leasing agent, was absolutely wonderful through it all! She was so kind, patient, and helpful every step of the way!
Her support really made a tedious process much easier to get through.

The staff at SOHO Apartments are professional and caring—special thanks to Jill, the manager, for always going above and beyond! The recent pressure washing of the breezeways and stairwells looks great and really shows how much management values their tenants and takes pride in the property.

Went here for a tour the lease manager horridly wanted to get me to do the application because of the special $500 off promotion they had. I let her know of all the things that my application would involve upfront once I paid The money for the application emails instantly stop communication instantly stopped, and I received the automatic denial letter the next day when asking what the issue was, she just gave a generic answer and stated that there was nothing corporate could do, even though I make more than four times the rent there And have no bad rental history for the past six years I went 10 minutes north and got approved instantly had a great With better amenities and absolutely better, Customer Service The point is everything is at surface level and sometimes you need to be a person instead of just doing your job. Can’t wait to move into my newly built apartments.

I give this community a 5 star, not only is the community nice and in a nice area but the leasing agents are THE best that I’ve ever seen, specifically Irene. Irene helped us out SO much moving into our apartment when we had difficulty getting approved with property management. Property management need to do a better job they are difficult to deal with but with Irene there it’ll get done whatever needs to get done. If it wasn’t for her i wouldn’t be rating this a 5 star

My appointment was at 3:00 but I got late by 45mins. One of front desk staff said since I was late I have to do self guided tour of the apartment. I took the keys from her.
I went back to front desk and need more enquiry about it. It seems like the lady was not interested to give information from her end and was answering only for the questions I was asking her. The apartment was nice to view but behavior of staff I haven't liked.

I can’t say enough good things about my experience at Soho ! Irene, made the whole process so enjoyable with her warm and attentive approach.I was specifically looking for a location in McKinney but she showed me around and highlighted all the amazing amenities I would get.
