Gray County Safety Rest Area I-40 West is a very nice and clean rest stop on Interstate 40 in Texas. It is well kept and considered one of the few real good rest stops in the state. The beautiful area offers a wonderful scenic view with binoculars for viewing. It features an interesting display about Texas and wind power, a playground, and room to walk dogs. The bathrooms are spacious and pretty clean. There is ample parking for cars and a lot of trucks. It is a cool place to take a break and stretch your legs.
