First I'll say that the shop has some good practices and ethics but the level of service seems to keep slipping.
My father in law has been taking his cars to this shop for over 30 years before they were even provision auto. With that I wanted to trust them but after each of my visits it gets harder and harder.
The first thing is I had them do a full service on all of my trucks oils; transfer case, engine, brake, etc. After I got it back, not 2 weeks later the truck starts making a grinding sound and tells me to get the case serviced. Turns out they forgot to replace the oil. Now here's the good ethics because they replaced it at no cost to me, but felt that shouldn't happen.
2nd is when it comes to the estimates over the phone on giving me the initial diagnostic, they tell me one price, when they call back after talking to the parts manager it's almost always more. This time it was almost double. This would be something I would expect from someone who's been doing this for their first time or just opened their own shop, but their service manager, Richard, has been doing this for decades and should know. The difference between 500 and almost 1000 is a lot, especially when one of the parts is on warranty that they replaced and I also had to remind them that they replaced it. Also when asked why it was double what it he originally said he couldn't even answer it was just silence. You should probably just check with the parts manager before even giving a quote.
Lastly it is just the level of service I get vs my father in law. I do get I haven't been going for 30 years since I'm only 32 but I have for about 5 now and if I bring my car in for service it's an all day thing sometimes the next day. If I have my father in law bring it he's back in an hour and a half.
I cannot say if I will be back once they are done with my car or not but if I do it I think I'll have to have my father in law take the cars everytime to ensure that they might actually care about them.

The folks at provision are good and honest working people. Always attentive and courteous. And as busy as they are - which trust me they are busy often but that’s what happens when you provide quality car service - I most appreciate them constantly keeping me in the loop and doing their best for a quick turnaround. Highly recommend for quality service from some quality people.

Took my older Benz for emission repair. New parts were unavailable so they allowed me to provide them with the needed parts from a donor car I purchased for this very reason. They used my parts and completed the needed repairs. Happy to report driver and car are doing well.

My service was great. The driver is excellent the driver that takes me home and picks me up i. They put a fuel pump in my car. It was nice seeing the gas gauge now. The guy at the desk that took my payment was nice.

From the beginning, Richard and Trevor were very helpful when they took in my car. They were punctual with the estimated timeframes provided. I felt they were knowledge and focused on good customer care. The cost was more affordable than what the car dealership quoted. They also finished all the work early. I’ve been a customer of Provision Automotive since before COVID, including during their move from their previous location to their current one in Melissa, and until now I’ve generally had positive experiences.
This time, however, was extremely disappointing. I scheduled an oil change for 8:00 AM, expecting the service to be completed within a reasonable timeframe. Instead, I received a message at 5:40 PM—just 20 minutes before closing—informing me that my vehicle still wasn’t finished, though they could “stay open” if I arrived promptly. Naturally, I asked why a vehicle with an 8:00 AM appointment still wasn’t completed almost nine hours later. I was told that the appointment time is “only to get your car into the shop that day.”
If that’s truly the case, it’s unclear why their website offers hour-by-hour appointment slots, which strongly suggests scheduled service times rather than an all-day drop-off window. The communication and expectation-setting were poorly handled, and the overall experience felt disorganized and inconsiderate of customers’ time.
Upon reviewing the invoice, something immediately seemed off. After looking more closely at the details, I noticed they claimed to have added 9.4 quarts of oil—charging me extra for anything over 5 quarts. The problem is, my engine’s maximum capacity is only 7.2 quarts.
Based on this visit, I won’t be returning. I would encourage others to clarify what their appointment time actually means before booking.

Needed my brakes inspected after they started making noise. I was able to make an appointment online,dropped the car off, received recommended repairs and cost. No upselling. The shop is clean and everyone I spoke with was professional. Work was done in a timely manner and brake issue was resolved. Will definitely be a returning customer.

We had always had an amazing experience here, honest, fair, didn’t have to question their recommendations. Took all of our vehicles for years and couldn’t of been happier. Unfortunately, in the past year or so they’ve started to feel more like the stereotypical car dealership service department.
Prices went up, and more concerning, it was an upsell every time we took a vehicle in. Just like at a dealership, there was always a phone call that they found some additional expensive repair that needed to be done. Don’t know what caused the change in their approach, but it was very obvious.
Still a great option, it’s just too bad that their major differentiator no longer exists.
