I'm just gonna say "LOL". Nice store. Seemingly nice people. But man a few of these people that pulled up as we were getting gas would put a normal person a little uneasy. So just.. LOL

The last stop grocery store before getting to the Ranch. I do wish it was called something other than Lowes Market. I always think my husband is talking about Lowes the hardware store when he says, " we'll just stop and get everything at Lowes on the way." I always reply "we can't get food at Lowes!!" And then get reminded which Lowes he is referring to. Lowes Market is a really small grocery store. Again, your one last stop before getting out of town and into the boonies. They do carry pretty much everything a regular grocery store carries. Except the candy/snack selection is very limited. You will pay more for the products here than what you would pay at a Walmart or HEB. This store reminds me of the IGA on Mustang Island in Port Aransas. The islands only grocery store.? the employees were polite and talkative. But it did take some time to get thru the line because there were only 2 registers open and there were quite a few people in there. Seems like a good Ole family owned market. We will continue to stop here before getting out of town. It's just one of those stores you feel you need to stop at whether you need something or not. ? again, very friendly staff and the store was clean. Always a huge plus for me. Go check it out if you haven't.

Nice employees, clean store. Small, but very nice for the small area it's located in.

Good selection and not bad prices for a small town grocery. My first time to stop while paasing through. A cashier and perhaps a manager were talking to each other and another customer they obviously knew. My cashier gave me a cursory nod when checking me out...I told her, thanks, on my way out, knowing I wasn't getting one from her. She did then say, thank you, in reply.

Pros: Great produce, though very limited selection. The butcher does a great job with her cuts. Their gas prices are the lowest in town. Cons: The freezer and cheese section of the store wreak of rat urine so that's pretty nasty. I try to rush theough that side of the store. Prices are extremely high, i.e. Hellman's mayo $10. The bread selection is more generic fall-apart loaves than what most people like. Most of the staff seem extremely unhappy due to low pay, with the exception of the butcher and one older gentleman who always offers a smile and friendly conversation. I really wish the proprietor of this store would expand, update, pay a competitive wage, and do some deep cleaning. But....it's the only grocery store in town. If you have an ice chest, skip it and go to WalMart in Brady.

It will do in a pinch, for emergencies and due to the area's remoteness. A bit overpriced and the food selection is severely lacking. However, for junk food foodies this is heaven. Organic selections are out of the question.
