Worst bank experience ever. I successfully opened up a checking account online last week. After a few days of my account being open, the bank put a block on my account that could not be lifted until I went into the branch and showed ID. I reluctantly went into the branch this past Wednesday to fix Truist’s mistake and get my account unblocked/get access to my money. After speaking with multiple tellers, the branch manger, Patrice Jackson stepped in and attempted to solve the problem. After spending 35 minutes at the branch even though there was only one person in line ahead of me when I walked in, I politely asked Patrice to give me a call once she was able to unblock the account. The issue was related to an expired Drivers License still being in the system from when I opened a BB&T credit card several years ago. She didn’t believe me and told me I put in an expired drivers license last week when I opened the checking account which is why we were experiencing the issue. There wasn’t even an option to submit a license on the application and even if there was why would I submit an expired out of state drivers license instead of my new Texas drivers license? She said she would call me that day when the problem was fixed. Two days go by and I had not received a call from Patrice. Now my paycheck has not been direct deposited into my account due to the block on my account. I call the branch and ask for Patrice and she says she has no recollection of our conversation and transfers me to one of her employees! I explained the situation to a personal banker and she was able to pull up my account and stated Patrice didn’t give me a signature page so I would have to come in during work hours once again so I could sign and unblock the account. I now have absolutely no faith in the branch manager and ask for the area manager as it was clear she had no idea what was going on/how to fix the issue. I asked multiple times for the area manager’s email and phone number which she refused to give me over the phone. She said she would email me the info and hung up the phone on me. I called back but couldn’t get through to her again. She never emailed me the contact information (big surprise). Truist, please let someone else run this branch. It’s in your best interest.

Run Far from this bank! This bank has the worst customer service of any bank ever. I would give them 0 stars if I could. The manage Patricia or Patrice was rude and lock the account twice because forms need to be signed in person to verify my identity. Guadalupe Was extremely rude as well. Very condescending. However, I have been in already for an hour! The worst bank. I would give it 0 starts if I could.

I would give 0 starts if I could. Not one person treated us with respect. The tellers are playing on their phone and page branch manager Patricia Jackson is the worst! I am not sure how she even has a job.

TERRIBLE!!! So we went in today to get a check endorsed at 12:55pm. As soon as we walk in there was 2 workers talking and checked their watches as soon as we walked in. The lady who endorses checks was clearly not wanting to do her job as we went to her and she tried telling us her department was closed (at 1255!) completely unprofessional and rude. Do not use this location.

If I could give negative stars I would. This bank will drain you of fees and does a horrible job validating your identification. I opened an account online in Sept 2022 and everything was good to go. I sent all required identification and documents to them. A debit card was getting mailed to me and everything was ok. Toward the middle of the month I get an email saying the account wasn't able to open and to call their, "Fraud Department." Called Fraud and was told to go to a bank to speak with a branch manager to clear ID. Went to the one in Rockwall off I-30, waited an hour just to be told the Branch Mgr has an appointment and to come back. I not only wasted time but my lunch as I was working. If you call their phone, no one ever picks up, and their service is terrible. Long story short, I didn't see someone that day and a few days later I get a debit card in the mail thinking everything was cleared up. I trieds to activate it and it wouldn't. I went back on a Saturday morning to be told there were no Branch Managers there that day. I contacted the BBB and CFPB and finally they say give them 30 days. I gave them 35 days and reached back out late October since no one responded. I then submit another complaint to CFPB and BBB and finally got someone to assist. Little did I know she would cause more of an issue as she received the report, credited the fees back to me since I could never use the account, and then I advised her I would go to a branch to withdraw my money and close the account. That was 12/08/2022 and I went to the branch in Dallas off lower Greenville 12/10/2022 and was told the account was closed and they mailed a check. 1) I never told her to close it, I said I would when I go into a branch. 2) Today is now 12/23 and I try to cash the check at a Truist bank off Gross Rd in Mesquite, TX and was told they're going to charge an $8 fee b/c I wasn't a member after I explained all of what happened above. Don't trust Truist, don't waste your money or time.

I don't like the fact that they charge you to transfer YOUR money . The only time I've had this issue is with BB&T.
