Mesquite is Not a good location to rent from. This is a franchise location with a very rude owner (at least the heavy set bald man said he was the owner). Understaffed. When we arrived at the designated pu time we were warned by several others they had been waiting over an hour to pu their vehicle. When we inquired and said we had another appointment to get to we were told we could “leave or wait”. We rented a week in advance so it wasn’t a surprise that we were coming.**UPDATED: BE SURE AND READ THEIR RESPONSES TO REVIEWS. THEY SPEAK LOUDER THAN ANY REVIEW. NO "I AM SORRY YOU FEEL THAT WAY" OR "SORRY FOR YOUR LONG WAIT TIME"...

Most reviews come from people upset with minor issues that are just a part of everyday business, or part of corporate guidelines spelled out on both the website and posted at the facility.It's rare that I need a vehicle rental, so I don't have many experiences to compare, but this was a no-nonsense experience. Booked and reserved online, easy pick-up (plus a comped upgrade to the next vehicle class), nice car to drive for a few days, and super easy drop-off. The staff were courteous and easy to deal with. I've had harder times self checking out groceries ;-). Would recommend.

Mesquite, TX Vista Crossing location. Horrible experience. Reserved and prepaid for a vehicle Thursday to pick up at 8am the next day (Friday). Arrived at 8:10 to pick up car. 15 people waiting for same. Lady at counter helped a few people then walked off for about 20 minutes while the remainder of us still waiting.Myself and another customer had to walk behind the counter to tell them she still had customers waiting. Management/Owners in the back arguing. I did not get seen at the counter until 10 am. Did not get the car until 1030 am.Management/Owners… place was complete chaos. No direct number to facility. Returned car today(Monday 10/30) at 8:40am; frustrated customers already inside once again waiting on vehicles. I hand my keys to the lady at front desk and waited, then she proceeds to tell me that my receipt will be emailed to me shortly. It is now after 3 pm and no receipt. I called central customer service to be informed that the location still has not closed out my contract. Notes were taken so that I would not be incurring additional charges but this was a horrible experience and this location needs to be closed.

Believe every bad review you read here. The lady is hardworking but this location is poorly staffed or poorly managed. She's the only person I saw in the hour that I waited for my reservation. After waiting an hr, the car I was assigned was rented out after she filed the paperwork and she couldn't find the keys but the car but I did get an upgrade. Upon my return I was greeted by the same hardworking woman rushing outside but she was assigning a car and cleaning the next car for the guest in front of me. There's no reason Avis/Budget should have one person to check someone in AND go outside to vacuum and wipe a car down with a rag and windex. Then she has to accomodate the next guest? I promise I won't be back here again. If you have time to waste or have no plans, this is the site for you.

Their greedy corporate overlords need to find it in their lack of a heart to give them the third computer they need to operate effectively. It took an hour and a half to pick up my rental at my scheduled time. The employees genuinely do the best they can with what they have. It’s not their fault, it’s their corporate office’s fault.Stars updated as it reflects directly on the store. Corporate has been contacted directly.

Made a reservation...took a hour long uber just to be told they had no cars and wouldnt honor my reservation.. meanwhile there giving other people choices and options of different cars...will never use budget again and will not recomend to anyone

My grandma needed a rental car for her trip. The people here were so helpful and nice. They were very accommodating. 10/10 experience

Staff was not efficient. Appointment was for 10 a.m. to pick up, arrived 15 early. 1 hour later staff said they did not have a car for me in the class I reserved. 15 minutes the find one. I walked out 90 minutes after my appointment.

Save yourself the trouble, book online if you want but DON'T PAY until the day you pick up your vehicle. Yes, if you're waiting on ppl ahead of you it may seem like a turnoff but I promise Iliana knows her stuff and she's taking her time to give you the best deal!Honestly, hands down she's the best ever! She's super sweet and very chatty and makes you feel at home right off the bat. She truly cares about the customers and makes sure everyone who comes in gets the rental they asked for.

I use fast break. Cars already always clean and waiting. Can pick what you want. Price is reasonable and it's no Hassel.

I had a wonderful experience here! Literally the best customer service from any rental car franchise. This location is family owned and they are kind and helpful! Rates are lowest in town depending when you rent. The cars are well taken care of and clean. I will be coming to rent here from now on!

Booked a car at this location through priceline. Exactly 10 days after already booking a car here without issue. Priceline sent my confirmation and I checked in online. Everything was in order so I called an uber and arrived at location. I gave my check/debit card which also required a utility bill I gave that also. I sat in the lobby about 20 minutes before finally someone came to the front after giving them license debit card and utility bill they told me they could not rent me the car. They said they did a soft credit check and were advised against renting me the car.I asked to see the manager because this would have been fine had I been told before spending money on the Uber and already had rented a car say exact method only 10 days previous. The lady behind the counter got a big attitude and hands on hips head Bob and and all exclaimed "I am the manager". So now no car which i needed the next day but also money on an uber x2 and a big attitude.If your going to reject do so before I spend money coming down there not everything is set come pickup your reservation. And especially dont give me an attitude. I did get home secured a car with enterprise they picked me up from my house had no soft credit check and actually gave me a better price.

Excellent customer service, I would recommend Budget in Mesquite if you need a rent a car.Edit: Unfortunately my truck was in the shop an extended amount of time due to supply chain issues, and Elliana worked with me and was able to get me a great deal, I highly recommend Budget Rent A Car in Mesquite, thanks for all your help Elliana.
