for many years I've been a customer, so is my wife, today Jan 18/2024. I went to the branch to deposit" a check we had received as refund from an Insurance company, the instant teller did not recognized and later were out of order as they mostly are, but the teller, following her supervisors advice, turn me down, the check was for the ridiculous amount of $2.00 and some cents, so I didn't think it would be a problem since we have accounts there savings and checking. because of that I am not recommending the branch, and will be transferring most of our business to another Bank. they lost us. Roberta Y Garcia and Raul E Garcia. in Mesquite Tx. I hope nobody from the bank gives lames excuses for the mistake.

First of all waiting 45 minutes to get a new debit card is unacceptable, you have 4 tellers twiddling their thumbs waiting for customers. I sat there looking at every teller wondering why they couldn't do the same job that I waited for 45 minutes for. They should be able to perform the same service as I waited for someone that usually handles loans, car refinancing etc. I have had credit unions that do just that and it's quick, easy and more efficient! Take another request to the board and bring better customer service!

The service needs an upgrade..it took me several tries to get to a live person.. I ordered my debit cards, and they were never shipped..

Great welcoming environment. Elizabeth warmly directed us to our member specialist Robert. Robert patiently explained the benefits with forming a relationship with Credit Union of Texas. Luke was very helpful with providing information about mortgage services provided.

My most recent visit with the Mesquite Branch were extremely horrible, the bank manager and assistant managers attitudes are horrible, they have know since of urgency. They set with the door open laughing and carrying on as if there aren’t 8-10 people waiting in the lobby.I’m not sure how you can be profiled by your own race but that is exactly what happened. I explained my situation the gentlemen (managers) stated that there was no way my account was closed based off what I stated, although there were notes in the system. It had to be because I was reported to check systems, accused me of depositing 300 dollars in my account on 8/14 that caused my account to be closed, because the check was not cleared. I explained there was no way my account was closed on 8/2 it could not have been me. He then went found a video of a lady about my height on 8/16 called me out of the line where I was trying to deposit my payroll check to ask me to view the camera proceeded to tell me it was me. I again tried to explain that was not me and looked nothing like me similar braids and maybe height close, the women was bigger and lighter than me. The assistant bank manager and manger kept me there for 15 minutes looking at this video, turns out he wasn’t even looking at my account, had the wrong account. What made this even the worse the 1st time I came to open a new account they said the account was closed for something similar, I asked them to look again well dang turns out they were wrong then. I had to wait another week to figure out what was going on in my account. What pisses me off is he was 100 percent sure I was lying! I was ready to provide a written statement form my boss that at 11 am there was no way I could have been in the bank on 8/16 I was teaching my students!I will never return to the Mesquite Branch, there is seriously a need for training in customer service. I had one good experience that was with Monica there and I feel she was told not to return my calls because I never heard from her after my 4th visit.I was promised calls for 3 weeks and nothing I ended up finally contacting corporate and going to another bank branch 11 miles away. Thank you to Kameron and the member service person and manager whom actually took my concerns seriously.I have yet to receive a phone call stating they regret putting me through hell! My check is still on hold because it’s a new account once again and the amount. So I am now having to wait and bills are late. I’m grateful it was figured out and my account is open but I been with them since early 2000’s and I am very disappointed in how I was treated!

I do not recommend this credit union at ALL! I've been with them 42 years and they used to be the absolutely BEST in every way - customer service, rates, THEY USED TO ANSWER THE PHONE!!! NOW I'VE WAITED 1 HOUR, LITERALLY AN HOUR FOR SOMEONE TO ANSWER THE PHONE! Yes, you are in the "holding mold" but it was actually a little OVER an hour when someone actually answered the phone. Their employees haven't got a clue how to answer questions, they transfer you to a so called "manager" who only makes excuses and you NEVER GET THE PROBLEM SOLVED! NOW YOU DON'T GET A LEGITIMATE MONTH OF SERVICE (1st through 31st)! Their month is now 20th to 20th, which makes the month 20 days instead of 30 or 31 which can really mess things up when you get paid on the 1st and need full use of your credit card through the 31st! Go somewhere else - it is not worth the frustration and needless insults you get from a company that does not care about their members one iota.

Natalie was very kind, friendly, and patient in attending me and in explaining the process for a check deposit. Made going to the bank not so intimidating. She was very quick to help me in what I needed which I very much appreciated.

This was the 1st time in a long time that I was 100% satisfied after visiting CUTX! MIKAYLA was absolutely fantastic! She handled everything I needed, was very personable, and trained her colleague! I was impressed! Way to go Mikayla!

Amazing experience here at the Credit Union of Texas, Mesquite Branch as always! Natalie, the teller, was super informative and provided me with excellent service and options .
