Pep boys in Mesquite, TX are an amazing team. I went for an oil change in a different shop called take a 5 oil change in Allen, TX yesterday.The two mechanics Kaleb and Rhett messed up the underneath of my bumper. A cord was sticking out. My bumper was just fine before I went there. I was in tears that someone is capable of such things. I came to Pep boys today and told them everything that happened in details. They listened to me for 30 mins , and gave me a great advice on what steps to take. They were very understanding and supportive of me. They took care of my bumper and checked to make sure there is oil inside. They did NOT charge me anything because of what happened at the other shop. Says a lot about their character outside of work. They really care about their customers’ feelings and issues. Thank you so much guys for being so kind to me and taking care of my vehicle that was damaged underneath. Such great customer service and care!
One of the guys was Oscar. Great guy and unfortunately I don’t recall the other two guys’ names who also took care of me. Thank you! I’ll return, and I wish I could give this place a 10 star rating.

Pep boys on Galloway has a kuhmo buy 3 get 1 free. Super crew working there. Techs were very respectful of my truck No surprises, no upselling. These kuhmo ht55 tires made a world of difference in the way my tundra drives. Ty Roger, Pedro, I'm sorry I can't remember everyone's names but too notch tech crew!

The service writer and staff got me in and out the same day since they replaced both ignition coils, spark plugs, plug wires and a fuel system clean out. Awesome job guys. Car runs like a champ now. The waiting area is a little bit on the cold side so bring a long sleeve if possible.

I came in because the shop across the street reused to do an inspection without a front license plate. I asked the guy working the desk Matthew if this would be an issue he advised no but to have a seat and he’ll come get my keys from me in 30 minutes. After an hour, he never came to collect my keys or put me in the system. So I go to the desk and follow up with him.. he takes my insurance information and has me sit down again this time taking my keys. The shop was empty, the technicians were doing little things to keep busy like spraying the concrete with water and on their phones. After another 30 minutes and my car still hadn’t moved I get a text that my car is finished. So I go to the desk and ask Matthew, he said the car wasn’t ready but give him 30 more minutes. Frustrated at this point I tell him that he he told me originally 30 minutes and I’ve been waiting 2 hours and nobody has even moved the car… HE THEN SAID, “ WELL YOU CAN TAKE IT BACK ACROSS THE STREET WHERE THEY HAVE A ISSUE WITH YOUR MISSING LICENSE PLATE IF YOU DONT LIKE IT”.. I asked for my keys and left. This was extremely disappointing because I’ve never experienced this level of unprofessionalism and lack of respect from them. I won’t be back.

I had an appointment for 05/02/24, made an appointment for 11am for new tire replacement all 4, they had a deal buy 3 get one free and this is what made me choose PEP BOYS, I shopped around for days to look for the best deals and I saved around 100$ with this deal, this goes to show saving money is not always good! The nightmare I had to endure was not worth it, I wish I should have gone with another company! We get to the location at Mesquite and they tell us they don’t have the tires, we had to reschedule and leave okay not too bad right they agree to have them next day same time I call to see before I drove out there they still didn’t have them but he would send someone to pick up the tires from another location, we called again few hours later he had them to come in and get serviced. We arrived at 11:05am to 12:55 pm. Proceeded to pay since they called us we ended up PAYING FOR SOMEONE ELSES ACCOUNT the charge was for an AC issue for $61.49, we were confused because 3 tires are not 61$. The receipt said for CHRYSLER model wth! How do you not go over the make and model for the ticket you are charging even if the client misheard the name before charging! Then the supervisor on duty goes I have never done a refund so I can’t refund your money! He said I need to make a ticket for IT to go in and refund the money but he just contacted IT TO CHARGE ME FOR THE 800 Dollars why can’t you do the same he did not reach out he told me he would do it later and call me when it’s refunded. I also had an appointment with my breaks to be replaced with another company we arrive for my service the break company tells me PEP BOYS STRIPPED MY LUG NUT AND THE PIECE THE LUG NUT GOES IN, they could not complete the job due to the damage they did, now I’m sitting waisting more time this is why I made appointments and to be denied the service I scheduled for someone else’s mistake was so unprofessional! We arrived to PEPBOYS they all ganged up inside in a group even parties that were not involved in the service had something to say basically blaming the other company for the damage so here I go back to the other company they stated it was PEP BOYS. The supervisor at PEP BOYS IS HORRIBLE NAMED ROGER HE NEVER APOLOGIZED FOR NOT HAVING THE TIRED UPON MY INITIAL APPOINTMENT NEVER OFFERED ME TO DISCOUNT THE INCORRECT CHARGE OFF MY TIRE SERVICE AT LEAST NEVER GAVE ME AN ETA WHEN YO EXPECT A CALL BACK FOR MY REFUND AND LIED TO ME SAYING HE WOULD CHECK FOOTAGE TO SEE IF THE EMPLOYEE REALLY DAMAGED MY PART. I called several times he kept giving me the run around, he said I just got in to work I did not get a chance to do the ticket for your refund and now he needs to wait on the assistant manager to check the footage because he could not! I almost cried of anger I paid 800 dollars for my car to be serviced I trusted this company and chose to go with this company and they treated me absolutely the worst. They have no care what so ever and didn’t offer me any solutions to the issues they created! Now I’m stuck with a damaged part to my car. Thank god the other company did not argue with me and actually gave me a solution to repair the part for free!!! Even if it was not their doing!! God bless the manager at NTB in mesquite they did not have me going back and forth and actually helped me solve the issue VS arguing with me what they did not do and have me going back and forth. Never in my life will I return to this place! I DONT RECOMMEND AND DONT PUT YOUR TRUST IN THIS PLACE OR YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU AS A CUSTOMER I HAD TO GO TO CORPORATE BECAUSE THEY REFUSED TO HELP ME!

Roger the shop manager or supervisor is very unprofessional and has poor customer service skills. Was charged incorrectly for service not done and the service the shop did provide caused another problem. One of the lug nuts was not properly put on, which caused it to become loose and had to replace the whole wheel bearing. He didn’t communicate well when it came to the refund. Strange a supervisor or manager has never done a refund before. Said, he would call IT and let me know once the refund has been processed. Never got the call. It took me calling him multiple days to get the update or status. Shop is run poorly from the mechanics to inventory upkeep and professionalism. If you’re new and looking for tire shop avoid Roger shop at 2317 N Galloway BLVD in mesquite. There’s a discount tire and a fire stone next door.

Came in to have my tires checked on a Sunday. Matt and the mechanic who was on duty got me in and out of the shop in less than 15 minutes. Service was quick and explanations were clear and thorough. Would come again
