““Plato’s Closet Mesquite offers a surprisingly well-curated selection of trendy apparel at accessible prices, with the store kept neat and easy to browse. While the staff vary in attentiveness, the overall shopping experience is convenient and rewarding for bargain hunters. The selling process, however, can feel inconsistent and undervalued, as acceptance standards aren’t always clearly communicated.””
“We went here for my daughter's 9th birthday to buy some curiosities and we left with her saying it was her favorite store ever. The people who worked there were incredibly sweet and helpful. We'll be coming back often.”
“I love this place! So many good baby clothes and baby gear for fair prices! The only annoying thing is that certain clothing brands are in the wrong size sections - like Carters who label their 0-3M with 3M are usually placed in the 3-6M section instead of the 0-3M section. So you have to look through multiple sections to find what you are looking for. But besides that this place is great!”
“This is one of our all time favorite stops. You never know what you will find herethat is exciting. This place is a home repair hunter’s dream store. At least it is ours.”
“So, this is a new fave. It’s huge as the name suggests. There are lots of items to peruse. They have a multi- color tag system for sales. You can register for an additional 25% off your first purchase.”
“Had a great experience with this store forgot to leave a review but here it is. I came in just looking but found a good steal on some Jordan 12 indiglo size 10. The price was too good couldn't pass up a steal. Very friendly and knowledgeable employee helped me while looking. I would for sure shop here again. Check them out if you happen to be in the Broadway south garland area.”
“I wish a lot of the customers that are in there to sell would understand that it’s not “the audacity” or “being rude” to turn down clothes for not being trendy or in style because they market towards younger people that are up with trends and have different style and style is opinion, not fact.
If someone doesn’t wanna buy your clothes because they don’t believe they will resell or they do not believe that they are currently in style with what is trending in the world of fashion that was pretty hard to keep up with, That is totally not on them, and I believe people might benefit from working on not getting so easily offended.
You’re not gonna have the up-to-date style and no one is obligated to buy your clothes that’s out of style and that won’t resell. I keep seeing so many people had the audacity to turn me away because my clothes were out of style. That’s ridiculous.
Before you give a review, make sure that you go to the website check out the videos and tips they give you on what clothes you should bring in and how you should do though because I’m telling you it helps so much! Businesses do not deserve one star reviews from people that don’t understand how their business operates.
That’s like posting something on marketplace or any other resell website and giving the website a one star review because no one wanted your out of style clothes they may not be ugly and it’s not an insult but fashion is a whole thing that you need to understand and there’s trends that you need to keep up with, and they’re trying to market towards younger people so quit trashing them like that it’s not their obligation to buy your clothes you need to do the effort too.
Thanks for trying your best Plato’s closet and thank you for offering a really cool business for some people! I think you are doing great!”
“JBF is an awesome opportunity to get rid of unneeded items and find new items at a great price! I will say that there were a lot of “price gougers” this year trying to sell things way too expensive. Definitely worth a stop when they’re in town.”
