Expected better based on their publicity in Facebook and other pages. But reality is far from it. Not recommended.

I grew up getting fresh peaches, other fruits, and vegetables here. The legacy of the family business continues with Mary & Lisa. I love them. Many of my "greats" worked for the parents of Mary & Lisa. And they too were amazing people. I recommend them one thousand percent.

Great little place for fresh fruits and veggies. Outdoors, there isn't an indoor area. However outdoors is well shaded and gets a good breeze, it wasn't too bad under the shade of the roof. All veggies and fruits I was told are all sourced from local farmers or from their own orchard and gardens. The peaches are really good. Got some tomatoes to that taste way better than what's in the stores.

Miss leading. Roadside Stand that sells store bought quality products. Tomatoes were no where near vine ripened, hard and no taste. Whole fig preserves has stems still on them. Farm Style pickles are very hot. No where on the label does it indicate that, but I guess if I would have shaken the jar I would have seen the Jalapeños in it. Peaches were nothing but knots (didn't buy any). Won't be going back.

Tried my first Mexia peach this summer. It was not my last. Their peach salsa puts the peach in the spot light and tastes amazing. I enjoy each time we visit.

We drove all the way out to Mexia to the Lightsley Farm for some fresh persimmons on our way back from the TCU - Baylor game... GO FROGS! When we arrived we met Mary who is the third generation to run the family farm. She gave us some history of the farm, some free samples and some good conversation about growing persimmons. We got here just in time as it's the end of the season and the boxes you see in the pictures were all that were left. Here for only $38 you can buy a whole box of Fuyu persimmons. They have other varieties too, and we recommend the Fuyu because it is non-astringent. And, if they have them, pick-up a bag of their fresh pecans for $10 a bag. They were very flavorful, with hints of maple syrup. We had to force ourselves to stop eating them or we would have been without a pecan pie this Thanksgiving. If you're in the area make the stop for some fresh off the farm fruits and vegetables.

Bought 20+ pounds persimmons today. Their cream and black eye peas are superb! Okra and yellow squash are fresh picked! I recommend Republic square park in Austin on Saturdays 9-1! Say Hi to Mary for me. ?

Everytime I go to Mexia I stop at Lightsey Farms. Some of the best fresh fruits and vegetables in the state. This is where I buy peaches to make jam. Tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, peaches squash, peas and melons. I also love the ladies working there. They are the best. ?
