“Great amount of adorable critters. Some trash and burned rubble on the edges of the park but I personally found it funny.

Baby bunnies, pretty birds. Mysterious critters that dive in the burrows.”

“As a cancer survivor, Gifts of Hope has shown up every single time I’ve needed them. In the hardest stretches of my journey, they brought light, relief, and real hope. Cancer is overwhelming, but their compassion cuts through the chaos of appointments and long days at the hospital, making a difference in ways that truly matter.
I’m profoundly grateful for all they do and continue to do. Their support has been a steady relief for my family and for so many others in our community.
Thank you all for truly providing Gifts of Hope.”

“This place is one of a kind. Not sure what to do with the building materials leftover from your renovation? Give these folks a call. First of all, everyone who works here is really friendly and helpful. If you forget your tape measure, they’ll lend you theirs. If you need help loading something heavy in your car, they’ll help you load it. They also have a big box truck that they use to pickup donated items from those who call in and schedule pickup. This store sells all home building materials that are donated, sometimes by individuals, sometimes by companies offloading inventory for the tax write off, and sometimes by remodeling companies who have installed newer materials into homes in the area. So you never know what your going to find. Lots of lightly used and sometimes new materials.Given that they’re always getting donations, their inventory is alway rotating. They also have certain items that they keep on hand and in stock such as flooring, rugs, doors, paint and painting supplies, windows, plumbing parts, hardware, couches, chairs of all sorts, assorted tile, cabinet hardware, windows, trim, cabinets and knobs, toilets, bed frames, dressers, faucets, lighting, sinks, wall art, etc etc you get the idea. Sometimes they even have new appliances like ovens and ranges.I honestly hesitate to leave a review because this is my local honey hole but it’s just too great not to share. When you come in you just might find that piece of one of a kind furniture that you’d been looking for. Or that exterior door that is the right size to replace your old and weathered door. Or your next project. I have found tons of tools, parts, and building materials here to use on a lot of my remodel and renovation projects. I highly recommend a visit.”

“I am absolutely in love with this pool. Im a pro freediver for Team USA / live in the Caribbean and needed to spend a few days in Midland before heading to Alpine to see my parents and wondered what to with myself - found the pool on google, emailed them to inquire about joining a masters swim or two and everything was so great! Prompt kind replies. The pool? Fantastic. Flawless. When I was wandering around trying to figure out where to pay for the pool pass Mike Anzano was super kind and helpful. Luke Serrano was super welcoming and so nice as masters coach - everyone was wonderful. I liked it so much I went and bought a t shirt & swim caps. I think from now on before heading to Alpine for family visits I’ll be overnighting in Midland just to get a swim in.”

“This Goodwill is my favorite, the one on the other side of town is becoming way too expensive. As long as they continue to stay reasonably priced it will always be my first pick over the other goodwills AND other thrift stores in town. The staff is friendly and very helpful and always so kind.”
