Must have an appointment to get in, and have your birth certificate (they also now want a birth certificate from the Dept of Statistics, not one from a hospital) if getting an ID/DL. Also don't forget to check in 30 min before appointments on the website.

Lady (late 40s/early 50s) at lane 3 with Black frame glasses rude as hell. Needs to find a new job. Tell customers they can't read and she needs to chill out...she need Jesus too.

I left upset, outraged, and very disappointed with the service we received today. I accompanied my mom, who had her driving test. When my mom was with the examiner who evaluated her, she was told that they needed someone who spoke Spanish because my mom doesn't speak the language; she's only been in the USA for two months. The examiner, from the moment she left the office, had a very rude and abrupt attitude. She spoke very poorly to my mom, saying she didn't speak Spanish, and proceeded with the test in the same manner. Even when my mom followed instructions correctly, the examiner evaluated her as if she had done it wrong. She discriminated against my mom because of the language, and her treatment was humiliating. Unfortunately, my mom did not pass. On the evaluation sheet, the examiner did not put her name, presumably because she knew her conduct was inappropriate. Upset and disappointed, I went to desk number 3 to schedule a new appointment for my mom and file a complaint against the examiner. They recorded me as I proceeded to file the complaint. How unethical and unfortunate that individuals with such little tact, education, and values work in a government institution.

Today I was at this DPS and I had never been treated as badly as it was there, I was treated by a lady who is in box 19, she is a Hispanic lady, I do not recommend her at all, horrible service, very bad manners, zero interest in helping my husband, she told him that Why did I want a license if I didn't have a horrible car? I don't recommend it.
