Hotel is ok. Very icky feeling but rooms are fine very basic. Definitely bring your own cleaning wipes for the room. There is no market to buy waters etc and Starbucks in lobby isn’t open until 6:30am for us early business travelers, not quiet early enough.

IF YOU WANT TO SLEEP AT ALL..... DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! Hilton Diamond member here.... so we have tons of hotel stays. But first, I have to give flowers to the 1 & ONLY shining star from this whole ordeal- and that's daytime front desk employee Tammy. She seemed to actually care & was mortified by our less than stellar experience. But a hotel, especially one this large, needs more than 1 good staff member. They require a team of Tammys & unfortunately this location doesnt have that. This place is an embarrassment to the Hilton name. If I could give ZERO stars I would.Literally the worst stay I've had in 40 yrs. The room was not great (until we were moved on our final night), really needs some updates & just general upkeep work. Actual holes in the kitchen area, filthy tiled area, even a lamp that someone's pet must've destroyed before we got there- darn near caught the room on fire just turning on the light switch on when we arrived. But I could have got past that & chalked it up to fluke that probably wouldnt happen again. What I cannot get past is the fact that this is the loudest hotel I've ever seen. Outside noise, hallway noise, loud neighbors fighting (more on this later). OH & THE RAVE (that they had the nerve to call "an art show") that was going on all night outside our room... that no one at the front desk warned us about upon check in. We did not sleep for 2 nights. The walls in this place must be made out of the 1 ply TP in their bathrooms. In fact a few families ended up leaving due to the insanely loud party. Lets not forget the piles of vomit (probably from drunk people) all thru the hotel and outside that no one seems to care about. Seriously, don't waste your money and find a different hotel. This place needs to just turn into a nightclub, a by the hr type hotel, or something else..... this "hotel" is NOT deserving of the Doubletree name and reputation. Personally I think they need to turn the entire thing into a nightclub where you can sleep if had too much to drink. Because the place is being treated and run as one already. It is for sure not a place to bring the family... NOT kid friendly at all. With the club atmosphere, all sorts of people coming and going that are not guests. But I guess that makes sense because they clearly do not value the people who spend their money for a room. On our last night we were forced to change rooms due the extremely loud neighbors who on the first night were up until 345am screaming and arguing; and the second night horsing around, barking, scream-laughing, hollering... general obnoxiousness. When we called downstairs to have them ask to please keep it down at 1am, the man in the room got extremely upset, screaming profanity and making threats towards us. We didn't call the first night when they were fighting. And didn't call but once about the horsing around. The threats made me very uncomfortable and felt unsafe. Even the restaurant downstairs was disappointing. Long story short, food not worth the price, service was nonexistent, even room service servers sucked. Missing food, missing drinks, took forever, no one knew anything about anything.... like every person involved with the restaurant was brand new and on their first day. Waaaayyy too expensive for zero service and less than average food. Worst experience all the way around. Will not stay here again and will no longer recommend to others Unfortunately we have referred a few friends based on a previous stay and we are truly sorry and embarrassed. I don't know if it's under new management or what. To top it all off, we ended the night with some drunk individual from the "art show"/ Rave party pulling the fire alarm.I couldn't get out of there quickly enough and it turns out we werent the only ones. They seriously need to at least take the word "hotel" out of the name. I've had better sleep and far better experiences at a Motel 6. 100% WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN. I'm proud to give Tammy

This should be rated as a 1 star motel. I've had better in Gordon, TX. The rooms are not worth the money. I am so embarrassed about this place that I called my company and had them move the rest of my team to another location before they arrived.Rooms: Rooms are disgusting. Tiles are falling off the wall. Ceilings are cracking and appear to be falling. The glass balcony doors are filthy and the kitchen/foyer floors have dried sticky spillage. There is mold growing in the shower corners. Room service tray from a previous guest(maybe) sitting in front of my door. Stains on the ottoman and furniture. The inside of the trash can is filthy with grim. In Room informatives and Menus are sticky. There is enough wrong here that I am scared of walking on the balcony. Windows in the halls look like a haunted house (grime and dirt build up). If staff shortage is the problem then stop booking so many rooms. Only book what your staff can do. Oh did I forget to mention the soap scum on the lip of the tub. Lol. I've run out of room to mention more.Safety: Safety is about as reasonable as Midland Texas can be. Good luck.Walkability: It is a great location. There is a green park across the street and so many locations for food and drinks within walking distance.Food & drinks: Not sure I should also talk about the food. I am so conflicted by what this location represents. Not at all good for the brand. Be warned. I've seen nursing homes better than this place.Noteworthy details: Please head my warnings. Haunted hotels in horror movies are better cared for than this place is. I am so disappointed with this place. Total buzz kill.

Convenient location BUT the rooms are lacking an update. All the outlets are used and abused, the shower heads lack spread, and the carpet is well traveled. From the time hotels went for $400/night, how has this facility NOT updated its Ammenities.

The bad: Was unimpressed all around. The poor front desk attendant was all alone checking in a crowd of people and juggling calls. Took 30 min just to check in and I traveled solo. The room door jammed easily from warping and I basically had to crash into the door just to open it each time. The safe was damaged and the handle was broken off, definitely not putting valuables in that. All of the linens and towels smelled of burnt rubber, definitely a dryer issue. The lights were dingy and struggled to turn on like in old horror movies. The shower grate was rusted. Also, breakfast is not free, even though the quality is about the same as you'd get anywhere else (eggs, sausage, biscuits, fruit) but a nice $15 plus tax and tip because theres no coffee station, a server has to bring the coffee to you. Im lucky my trip got cut short. The good: The AC works, and the hotel is conviniently located. Didn't get robbed. The downstairs and bar look renovated. The rooms are quiet and you cant hear traffic muor neighborsRooms: What is that weird burnt rubber smell on all of the linnen and towels?Food & drinks: $15 for breakfast that tastes exactly the same as any hotel with complimentary.

The staff was extremely helpful tracking down an item that I left in my room and getting it back to me.

We went with our friends this last Friday 11/17/23. We enjoyed some drinks at the downstairs bar. While putting our card on file I noticed that the bartender had charged my card already and so I asked why did it already run a charge through and showed her on my app. She giggles and says oh I don't know why it does that but everyone asks me and I'm not sure but it should go away. Well guess what... it did NOT go away and now I have two charges to my card from them. I called and talked to the lady at the front desk and she asked me for my whole debit card number. I told her no because the receipt it's only going to show the last 4 digits not sure why she felt she needed my whole debit card number... I gave her the autho number for the receipt. If they call back and refund my money I'll change my review. To make matters even worse I called our friends that went with us and after checking they were charged twice too. Sound fishy and like someone is trying to pad their pocket.

The rooms were in bad shape paper peeling off the wall. Bubbles in the paper on the walls. No wifi at all the entire stay. For the price we paid, we could have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express and had a much nicer room and experience. I would not recommend this hotel. Cars raced in th parking garage all night.

My family had a private meeting room booked for a family members Memorial Service. Food and cash bar.The catered for (fajitas) was Not was not what was paid for only dry chicken and the cash bar beers went from $4.00 to 7.00!after “Happy Hour “ ended approx 30 minutes after Memorial began. For a private banquet room there’s Happy Hour price increases?!No wonder your hotel is struggling, that’s pure Greed. And now your asking the City of Midland for money to prop up your bad management practices???

This place is in urgent need of maintenance all around the building including the rooms. Not worth the badge of "Doubletree". Breakfast was worst than super 8s.

This location allowed someone to use our debit account to purchase rooms. The card wasn't physically present and no ID was checked. They were also not cooperative with authorities. So beware with your information.
