Whoever cut my hair was obviously “done” for the day when I showed up. I had stated what I wanted two times before she took me back. Got to the chair and she was going to try to cut my hair dry. After she figured out and asked me if I wanted it shampooed.. duh.. she did that.. not very thorough.. that was the most un-relaxing hair wash I have ever had. . like to hurry up so she could get the heck out of there she took me back to her station and cut my hair quickly and rushed me out the door. After asking three times if she could blow dry it she obviously wasn’t going to and I shouldn’t have to repeat myself so I just left. Pay attention ladies.Some people should not be in the people business. You won’t be getting very many tips trying to rush your clients. Slow down and make it somewhat enjoyable. All the ladies were just in a rush to get out and go on their dates or whatever. I miss my hair girl that worked there. Treated people w respect and did what was asked. DONT USE JCPENNY. Take some customer service 101 classes.Services: Shampoo & conditioning

Well I actually had a really urgent need of a haircut on Black Friday Saturday ... they got me in the day off my call.. Stacy was my stylist very helpful and friendly... thanx again will mos def come bk...

I went in to have a cut and color. I haven't colored my hair in 2-3 years which is evident by my many gray hairs. I advised the stylist the color I would like. I chose a dark violet color. She looks at me in puzzled way and says she'll be right back. She comes back with the manager and the manager questions me about the last time I colored my hair. I advised her it has been 2-3 years since I have colored my hair. She touched my hair held the ends of my and sort of smirked and said " the color you chose my not lift or apply properly because of the box black you applied to your hair" I looked at her and again repeated "I haven't colored my hair in 2 years!" She didn't believe which angered me. I told her I'm aware that true may not be achieved, thank you!" She walked off. The stylist then said she would section my hair then apply the color. She took maybe 20 minutes sectioning my hair which shouldn't take that long. She then went to mix the color which again took longer than necessary. She started front to back applying the color. She should've started back to front. I was in cosmetology for 2 years so I remember some things. She also got color on me. More than the average pro stylist would get on an individual. She took long applying the color. Overall I was at the salon for 3 hours. My hair originally was shoulder length and it's thick but honestly 2 1/2 hours is ok 3 is a little too long. The stylist did take her time and didn't seemed motivated to work. She was nice at times but slow. I will not return hopefully management can take refresher courses and the stylist can improve on her time.

Terrible service!!! The hairstylist left bleach in my hair after poorly washing it out. I found out a few hours later when I got home. I will never trust a jcpenny salon ever again!Services: Hairstyling

There is no customer service in this salon and clearly the women working today do not want to cut hair. Too busy stocking the hallway with merchandise. Walked in to a completely empty salon and five employees working. Not one of them was cutting hair. Asked if they had an opening, the girl said yes we are booked. I thought she was kidding because of what I witnessed. I asked ok till when? She said our next opening someone else will be coming in at two so she can cut your hair. That’s almost two hours away. I’m not one to make a scene which I wish I had but I told her never mind. I go shopping and as I’m leaving twenty minutes later, I pass by and still the same women stocking and two of them just sitting in the salon chairs chatting it up doing nothing else. I could have almost been done with my haircut had one of these women stepped up to do what they were hired to do. That was my first time there and will never return. Lazy!

If anyone walks in and they give you an operator named Sarah do not use her! First off she did a lousy job washing my hair, I had to ask her to completely rinse the shampoo out. Secondly, she had no idea how to cut hair. I ended up telling her to stop and get me another operator before she was going to completely ruin my hair. I have never had to ask for someone else to take over. I realize that she was new, but I don't see how she could have ever passed her operator exam. I tried to give her a break but I was actually in tears. The manager took over and did an excellent job. I would use her again. I don't like to give bad reviews but I would not want anyone to have their hair messed up.

I called Thurs 2/8 and made an appointment for today, Sat at 1200. I arrived 10 minutes early and was told that i didnt have an appointment. I had to wait over an hour to get my hair cut. This is not the 1st time this has happened. The girl who cut my hair did an awesome job though.
