They lost most of my designer clothes and only gave me $15 for everything lost. No compensation or anything. I kept going back to see if they found more of my clothes but they never could and told me to come back later. Did that about 4 times and still haven’t heard from them. IF I COULD GIVE THEM 0 STARS, I totally would!

DONT TAKE YOUR COLTHES HERE. I’ve only ever had great experiences at Plato’s closet in Lubbock and east Texas and I wanted to give this one a try and it was a massive waste of time. I called ahead if they were taking clothes in and they said yes as long as it’s before 9. I get there and there’s a sign outside that they don’t take anything in bags or boxes. So I go to the dollar store and buy 2 laundry bags and move my clothes to those. Then I go inside and they’re extremely dismissive and and tell me they only take 1 bag then tell me it’ll be like 2 days before they go through it and I told her I work so I dunno if I can come back the exact day they text me. She then is like yeah just call us and walks away to gossip about her coworker. I wake up next day to a text that they aren’t even taking clothes in to begin with. Spend the extra gas and just go to Lubbock yall.

Absolutely will not go back. To whomever is in charge at that place… your employees need some major training on customer service! With about six people in line only one checker who took her sweet time because she was too busy speaking in Spanish to the other worker who was just standing by, while two or three others were over by the big tubs of clothes, laughing and messing around. not one person greeted us not one person helped us not one person was kind to us. They were extremely rude to my mother when she asked a question about the sale that was being advertised and acted very bothered that they had to do their job. Never mind, the blaring, ridiculous rap music. I understand working with the public and customer service does not come naturally to everyone, but I feel the manager or owner should definitely know how their store is being handled.

Employee customer service needs improvement. Employees do not care if you are ready to check out or are standing by counter to help you.

Rude staff every time I visit. Dirty store, often see roaches. Clothes are unorganized and picked through. It seems like is a country wide experience as many people say this.

This Plato’s is honestly probably the worst one in the country, literally. They barely ever take any clothes in & the people that work there are rude. Go there if you want to have a bad rest of your day.

This store is very organized and the employees are really helpful and kind! Great customer service in every way. But does management not hire a pest control? This is not the first but second incident I have had where I see roaches😬 so the first incident it was 3 weeks ago I wanted to buy some skirts and as I was looking a baby cockroach crawls out of the pocket, and I was in shock I asked the kind lady with tattoos if she could come take a look and she was in shock just as much as I was in and I asked her if they have a pest control and she said she doesn’t know not that she is aware of so I go on about my shopping. Well today is my final straw , I was in the women’s athletic section and a bigger roach is crawling on the wall 🤦🏼♀️ I am very concerned if they are taking in others clothes who might bring in bugs but management needs to get on this or they might lose business😬

I brought stuff to sale at 11:53am and at 6:15 pm they had not gotten to my basket. I was told 10-12 people in front of me when 8 first came in. At 4pm when I called to check on the status there was still 7 people ahead of me. I went at 6:15 there were employees sitting on the counter top eating and talking loudly and inappropriately that weren't even scheduled to work that day( part of that person's conversation) 6 others standing around. When I asked about my clothes the employee wanted to argue with me for no reason. I will not be coming here to buy or sale any longer

Don’t even bother trying to sell your stuff here. This is not a complaint about their wild variance in what they choose to buy, which is determined by who is the one behind the counter instead it’s calling out the fact that even though there are about four or five girls doing absolutely nothing behind the counter they refuse to buy anything after 2 PM most days and also, by random, choose not to buy on Weekends. Don’t even get me started on the young and an experienced manager who can’t answer simple questions and when asked them, she looks absolutely bothered that somebody is speaking to her. I hope she sees this message and learns that if she does not like talking to people maybe choose a different “career.” When your subordinate has to answer questions because you don’t know the answer to them there’s something very wrong. this was in fact, the young redhead who has other complaints about her in the reviews. I hope the owners see this and realize that she is single-handedly driving away business with her unsupported “holier than thou” attitude.

I had never used this business before … but I have lots of nicer super new clothing items and shoes… I had only brought in my first round of things and had looked forward to continued business. I had never stepped foot in the store before and my first impression was how messy it was and how at first glance it seemed unorganized . I had no problem waiting until the following day when a so called offer would be texted to me.
Fast forward I get the offer which isn’t something I wanted to accept … so I called the store and said I will be but to pick up my items and didn’t accept the offer. Normal acting employee would say… “ okay we will see you in a little while “ or something to that nature. What I wasn’t expecting was the instant attitude and being told,”Well we aren’t going to give you your items unless you have an ID “ … well no kidding and why would I lose it in less than a day. Also why the rude tone and attitude? When I arrived to pick up my items was met with same attitude and dirty looks from the younger redhead, ( who was girl on phone same voice) . Eye rolls and sour looks from her had me confused as to why would it bother her at all for me to not accept offer or coming to get items ? I had not expressed any of that in a rude or condescending way . I was not upset about the offer only the impolite unprofessional behavior of said employee. The older black lady in there seemed equally unhappy . Here’s my take … I would have loved to continue to do business with Plato’s as I do have some things I know they’d be more interested in… but not feeling welcome to come back . It’s just very strange to me. The owner of this business is probably not aware of employees running off business. That’s purpose of my review.

This place is a joke. I have shopped in your store, I see what you sell. I woild love to see the decision process on what you keep to sell. How you decide what to take and not to take is beyond my comprehension. No wonder so many people go to Odessa.

For a high end thrift store it’s clean and very organized. Everything was labeled. Staff was busy and didn’t bother you until you approached the checkout. A lot of trendy shoes clothes and bags.

Drove here from Odessa tx and. Let me tell you the prices are just like buying them at the name brand stores! Don’t waste your time and as for selling clothes they won’t offer you much go elsewhere!
