Pleasant staff, affordable, fast care! My kids are new patients at this clinic, but I’m really happy with my experience so far.

Dr Welsh and her staff are amazing. Dr Welsh is calm and factual. She is compassionate and non-judgmental and she listens. They follow up after serious issues, without fail. Her prices are exceedingly fair for the level of service provided. As far as taking the animals to the back, their equipment is in the back. I’m absolutely certain that if asked, a pet parent could accompany their animal to the back. As for people who say 1. “they lied and told me my pet would die”, Dr. W would not say ‘would’ - she’s not like that. She would say “maybe” or “might”. 2. “they wouldn’t get my animal in” or 3. “they referred us to Mansfield ER” (a GREAT PLACE), I have the following comments. 1. Sometimes we roll the dice in life. Sometimes we win and sometimes we lose. Glad his dog didn’t die. That doesn’t make the Dr. bad or evil. She doesn’t prefer surgery. 2. Yes. Sometimes they can’t get our animals in. Grow up. Who raised these people? I suppose they’re the same ones who cut in line - anywhere. It’s not Multiplicity. Dr. Welsh can’t clone herself because your animal is sick. 3. Yes, they refer patients out when they are full. Don’t people’s parents teach them the world doesn’t revolve around them? I have the utmost respect for individuals who choose to pursue animal health, as people can be self absorbed, overly emotional, and spew out one star reviews with slight to no provocation. Dr. Welsh and her staff have cared for my animals for years. They have been full at times, referred me out at times, and given me options for my situation that I didn’t love sometimes. I’m not a vet. She is. Thank goodness we have people like Dr W who are willing to deal with our humanity to help our fur babies.

Not a good first experience or show professionalism. Called the office to see about scheduling an appointment for my dog and was asked by the staff if we were current clients, which we are not. She laughed (odd) and said we are not accepting new clients at this time and then laughed again (awkward) when I asked why and if that would be changing sometime soon. I would think an idea of timeframe if at all, is a standard question. All I got was an OK and the dial tone in my face.

We have used Welsh Veterinary Clinic for about 4 years now and we are very thankful for them! The front office staff is wonderful as well as the rest of the team and Dr. Welsh. They have always taken such great care of our pups. They have always found a way to fit us in for an appointment in emergency situations. Our 1 year old lab actually loves going there and getting to see his friends in the offices. I have recommended them to many people and always get rave reviews back!

We have years of experience with dogs engaging vets on many occasions. This vet was unwilling to see our very sick chihuahua mix despite having had us as a client for some time. Instead my wife took her to the new emergency vet - Veterinary emergency hospital of Midlothian who treated her promptly. They were also considerably cheaper than Welsh and decidedly more courteous.

I've been using this vet for years and I've not had any problems. My dog has skin issues and takes apoquel, his Rx ran out and they want me to bring him in for a visit before I can get more. I called to ask if I could get a few pills just to get him through the weekend. While I understand the need to make money, a little compassion goes a long way. I have a busy schedule and I'm not able to drop everything and bring my dog in for an overpriced visit for them to tell me what we already know. I will not be using this vet anymore and if you want someone with some compassion for extenuating circumstances I would recommend using another vet. Using people's pets as a cash grab is wrong.

Our 4 year old Pom and 1 year old cat both go to Dr. Welsh and have been since Harlee was a little puffball. Compassionate, reliable, information oriented, no drama. Very fair prices. Love!

I have been taking my dogs here for years, and the secretary is ALWAYS rude and condescending. This morning I called because my dogs have contracted kennel cough and need to get them seen and she had an attitude with me when I mentioned they needed to get on antibiotics. She very rudely said, "well we have to see them first." Welllll, no kidding!! That is why I am calling. It is unfortunate, because when we first started going here, we LOVED the veterinarians and techs. It has gone down hill and I will be taking my pets to Gully in Midlothian from now on where they actually like their jobs.

The entire staff is very friendly and compassionate. We have been taking our three dogs and our cat there for years now. In September of 2021, we had to make the decision to euthanize our chocolate lab, Coco, due to old age. They took care of everything while we sat with him. In December, just after Christmas, our girl, Honey, a German Shepard mix, passed at home suddenly as well. Welsh Veterinary let us know that they could handle the cremation that day as long as we had her remains there before noon.
