The folks over at Tovar Automotive won't do you wrong. I believe that they are under new management and they will do everything in their power to make sure that you are 100% satisfied. When we took our car back after the noise that it was making came back they not only rode with me to replicate the problem but they also got us in right away and replaced and fixed several items free of charge since we had already paid once. I have to say that I'm truly impressed by their customer service which is hard to come by these days! I definitely would recommend them!

I have worked here personally. I got let go because I voiced a concern with Elmer the service writer at One of their locations stealing tickets. He has been fired twice from their for talking to women customers inappropriately. I voiced my concerns to the owners chris and krista and got let go. Elmer is very dishonest and the owners know elmers issues yet they take him back and forced me into a bad situation. Please dont let this place rip you off. The parts are marked up more than double what they paid for them yet they say you get a warranty, what their not telling you is you have paid for the part twice to cover that warranty. Again please go somewhere that will take care of you and that you don't have to worry about your wife getting hit on. Also just so everyone knows tovars and hutto automotive are owned by the same guy Chris Tovar. They won't tell you that and will take advantage of you at either location.

I wish I could leave negative stars as I have never experienced such a nightmare! I dropped my car off on a Tuesday to have the window regulator on my driver side fixed. The reason I chose this shop is because they told me they had time to get the job done that day.. I have two kids and work so this was the most convenient option as I really need my car to get to and from work and then also to get them places & the dealership had a pretty long wait. I also want to mention this shop was about $30 higher than the dealership, but I decided to go here because they said they could get the work done that day. Well apparently a part came in bent so the job could no longer be done same day and they had to keep my car u til Thursday now, no worries.. stuff happens! I go to pick up my car Thursday and the door is misaligned.. they admit they put the door on wrong and asked me to come back Friday. At this point I get upset because the job should have been done Tuesday but ok, what ever. Here it is Friday and Alex calls and says the car must have been in a prior accident and that them fixing my window had nothing to do with the door. He is now claiming that they didn't take the door off at all and that he took my car to caliber collision who confirmed there was a prior accident although he told me multiple times they were keeping my car originally because they had to take my door off and completely apart.. now that my door is damaged he claims they never took the door off and had nothing to do with it!? There were NO issues what so ever with my door when I dropped my vehicle off and now they are trying to pin their mistakes on me .. claiming they got the door fixed a little better than it was, but it's not perfect. if they didn't mess It up in the first place, why did they even try to fix it if the door was never off?) Alex and I ended up arguing and he hung up in my face and told me he needs to further investigate and wouldn't "back himself into a corner with me over the phone" when all I wanted was for them to take accountability and make this situation right. I'm extremely disappointed that I trusted them with my car and hope no one else makes the same mistake because they are not honest at all and apparently also not too good at their jobs. Update: nick called back after finally taking the door back off and putting it together (like they should have done originally instead of accusing me of being a liar and saying my car was in an accident when it never was (I got the car fax printed and Alex had lied about that too saying he saw carfax proving my car had been wrecked)) and said they misaligned the door and to come pick up my car... all that drama, accusing, and taking my car to unauthorized locations for nothing when all they had to do was their job!! No apology for calling me a liar or accusing me of bringing the car saying it had been in an accident (I got car fax printed and it never has been in an accident at all) no accountability, no integrity what so ever. Very sad excuse for a business. I am extremely disgusted and will tell everyone I know about my horrible experience with this disaster of a business.

Alex, the manager at the Front Street location is my go to person for all things auto repair. The best thing about Tovar is they anser their phone almost all the time and if they cant pick up they call back quickly. The get that the first part of "customer service" is actually talking to the "customer". Their rates are better than others in town. They are knowledgeable, they dont over charge, there are no surprise billings, they deliver the car when they say it will and I dont have to go back over and over for them to "repair" their repair. Couldnt be happier with this company.

If you are looking for an honest automotive shop Tovar is the place to go. I went to several places to get estimates on repairs and it seems most places want your firstborn child for a simple brake replacement. Not Tovar automotive. They were not only fast and efficient but fixed my brakes/rotors at a great price too.

Took my car in on Thursday because my car was breaking down and pouring smoke from my muffler, they did their best to try and source the problem but had to refer me to Kia Dealer. Super kind and gentle customer service !

Great automotive shop! Alex truly went above and beyond to help get my car fixed and covered by insurance claim. He was very professional and patient with the adjuster. I will for sure be taking my car back to this shop and will highly recommend it to others. Truly appreciate them. We need more honest shops like this in Hutto!!

My car was towed to the shop for a broken heater hose where I was quoted $2,600.00 for a laundry list of items in which I wasn't willing to have taken care of at Tovar Automotive. I felt the quote was too high, $800 for heater hose and crank position sensor replacement. That being said, the car was towed back to my home where it sat for several months as I procrastinated and avoided the summer heat. After spending a weekend replacing the above mentioned items and bringing the car back to life, I noticed the back of the driver's seat slightly pried out as I began cleaning the interior. Further investigation showed at least 3 missing airbags. Missing as in removed and likely sold elsewhere. I'm not pointing the finger at the owner of the shop, but it wouldn't surprise me if someone who created the work order may know about the stolen airbags.
