Very Poor Experience – Repeated Inventory Failures
As a 100% disabled veteran who relies on delivery for convenience and necessity, I’ve given my local Walmart more than enough chances. Unfortunately, this most recent experience makes it clear that something is seriously broken in their inventory and fulfillment process.
For the fifth time, an item that I specifically ordered and that was listed as “available” was not fulfilled. In this order alone, 4 of 27 items were missing, despite showing as in stock when I placed the order. Often, the main reason I even place an order is for one or two key items that end up unavailable, but by the time I find out, it’s too late to cancel.
This isn’t a one-off. It’s a pattern of poor execution. Either the inventory count is inaccurate, the location data is wrong, or the in-store picker simply doesn’t look hard enough. Regardless of the root cause, the result is the same: a frustrating and unreliable experience for the customer.
To put it in perspective, this order reflects an 85.19% order availability rate, which equates to a Sigma level of 2.3, well below what’s acceptable for a company of Walmart’s scale. This would never be tolerated in a Six Sigma environment or by a company that claims to lead in retail logistics.
Walmart, you can do better. Disabled customers and loyal shoppers alike deserve better.
For Walmart or Any Big Box Retailer:
A minimum acceptable Sigma level would be 4.0 (≈99.38% accuracy), but ideally, 5.0+ should be the goal for inventory accuracy and fulfillment, especially when managing online orders for essential goods.
Walmart achieving only 2.3 Sigma (85.19%) suggests a very high error rate and places them far below expectations for a supply chain leader.

Honestly if there was an option to give zero stars I would. I needed help in electronics, something as simple as asking for a price. I had to wait for over 30 minutes for someone to show up. I pressed the little red button - but that didn't help. I called the store itself from my cell phone and asked to speak to a manager - and was placed on hold for over 16 minutes. No one ever answered. I'm very unhappy because I'm also disabled and have difficulty standing for long periods of time. At this point I'm contemplating placing a complaint with both corporate and the ADA to see if anything can be changed regarding this issue because this isn't the first time this happens.

Horrendous customer service.
Waited 45 minutes at electronics to just pick up an item behind case. In that time, pressed the call service button, no response. Asked passing employees for assistance, told me they will call someone. Even called different departments via phone, either no response or hanged up.
Honestly, go to another Walmart that has no glass case - so literally any other Walmart.

I like to do my shopping as early as possible. Walmart plus is always a place to find a variety of things. The store is clean and the employees are always helpful.

Hate long lines, minimal cashiers. Hate the self Checkout & staff gets upset when you ask for help. Staff on floor are useless. They either don't belong in that dept., don't know & just leave it at that and/or don't know English. I struggle with naming particular items and they just say they don't understand and walk away.
