Houston Garden Center has a mixed reputation among its customers. Many people appreciate the decent selection of plants and competitive prices, particularly for flowers. The location on Hwy 6 is noted for its helpful and polite staff, which can enhance the shopping experience. However, there are significant concerns regarding customer service and staff knowledge. Some customers have encountered employees who struggle with communication and lack product knowledge, making it difficult to get assistance. Additionally, there have been reports of issues with plant quality, as one customer experienced receiving diseased plants and faced challenges in getting them replaced. The store's point of sale system has also been criticized for being outdated. While some customers have had positive experiences, others have expressed disappointment, leading to uncertainty about returning. Overall, Houston Garden Center offers a variety of plants at reasonable prices, but potential customers should be aware of the varying levels of service and expertise among the staff.
Great selection of plants from flowers to trees. A lot of choices for fertilizers and other plant food products.

It is always too hot when you go but I found my salmon zinnias and some other salmon colors for the front.

Decent experience, nice diversity of plants. However, I prefer Cornelius Nursery to Houston Garden Center as the latter didn’t have employees qualified or willing to talk about the different plants and their growing environments.
