They know what they're doing. Good manager very helpful staff. They don't run from an uncommon transaction like the other locations. I have this location saved in my favorites so I don't accidentally go to the other location that I'd not competent and triggers anxiety for me.

Crystal made my visit quick and easy. Super nice and super friendly! The only thing she couldn’t help me with was disputing an overdraft fee. She said only branch managers can help with those and that this location currently doesn’t have a manager in place. With how awesome she was, I think it may be time for a certain somebody to get a promotion!?! Thanks again Crystal!!

After reading the reviews I was hesitant about opening an account here. I decided to try them anyway. Irene Paul the branch manager was awesome! So professional and personable. She set me up with a Sterling checking account which is for 55 and older and saves me money on monthly charges.

After the death of my wife, I was on social security. The bank manager and staff all know me here. I am young in appearance and have two small kids in tow. I encountered some financial hardship for a time and my account ran low on funds for several months. My income was reduced during that period and I applied for their overdraft line of credit. I explained the situation to the manager and the staff. They told me I did not qualify, even though my credit score was in the middle 6's and my deposits are automatic. I went to another branch to deposit a check and they offered to give me an overdraft line of credit if I opened a $500 certificate of deposit for one year. I told them no because I could not spare the money being on a fixed income as I am. I have two small children to support. Woodforest is unscrupulous in the way they operate. They charged my bank account 13 overdraft fees just in the last 30 days prior to this review. That does not mean they allowed 13 transactions to go through. They rejected the majority of my transactions and applied over $300 in penalties anyway. I asked them why they apply penalties even though they are rejecting the charges on my account. They told me, "Because we can." The staff is courteous, but you will find that their business practices are ruthless. You get penalized for running low on funds, you get a returned check fee, and they do not cover the charge to your account on top of that. Recently, they closed the branch near this location which was in Kroger across the street due to a loss of customers. I told them I intend to close my account here on or before the 20th of this month. I have banked with them approximately two years and they have taken advantage of our recent financial hardship to profit massively. I DO NOT recommend banking with Woodforest. At least with other banks if you get overdrawn they allow the charge while penalizing you. At Woodforest, they give you an NSF fee of $29 and they reject the charge anyway, which results in a bounce charge and your bill is still left unpaid. What exactly am I paying for in that insufficient funds fee if you are not covering the draft from my account? How is it you will offer me an overdraft line of credit in exchange for a 12 month cd at $500 but not under any other circumstance? That is a crooked business model. They are taking what little money we have to buy food and pay our mortgage through these Insufficient Funds Fees. I was three months behind on my mortgage and they were returning my checks while charging these fees. I asked them again today to give me overdraft protection or they will lose my business. They did not even check my credit. They simply turned us down. I told them I will have to take my business elsewhere. I have a special needs child and a toddler who depend on me. They have no mercy here. They are a Godless financial institution. Do not bank with Woodforest. They rob their customers and take advantage when you are most vulnerable. I would wager that if I looked like the people working behind the counter I would get a fair deal. I look forward to seeing you go out of business Woodforest. Your days are numbered.

Bank was supposed to open at 9 AM. Teller said when she came out at 9:02 AM, that the bank vault is on a timer and it's going to be a while. It is currently 9:25 AM, she said another 20 minutes.
