Treasure that apparently reminds some of Pinehurst or Pine Valley. Other than holes two and three, you are transported to tranquil rolling hills not often seen in this part of Texas. The owners will hopefully come up with some natural or manufactured barriers on the property line of clubhouse, 2nd & 3rd holes. Pass through Capital Expense impact options would be welcome. The remaining portions of the course are uniquely deeded to where the fairways are bordered by pines & sand traps…, not houses (or mobile homes).Course itself is a great challenge with a slope of 144. But the bald eagles, foxes, and deer are my favorite members.

Giving this 1 star for the monstrosity of a man who serves beer at the turn, what a nasty vindictive individual, having a go at me for wanting to see the hotdogs. What a piece of work. The course greens are also really poor, pitch marks not repaired and weeds everywhere, not worth the $85 green fees, time to find a new course.

Grand Pines is one of the Houston area's hidden golf treasures. It is a freak of nature for a coastal plain course. It is quite hilly and flat lies are hard to come by. The course is maintained beautifully and the clubhouse facility and food service is first rate. Highly recommended.
