Went to purchase a stihl br600 blower. I asked if they had a new one in the box, they called to the back and the gentleman immediately replied “nope”. The lady at the front with sleeve tattoos very arrogantly asked why I needed a box. That being none of her concern, I chose to politely let her know I would like one that is new in box and hasn’t been ran yet. With a new one in box not being an option, I started to settle for the one on display. The guy rips it off the shelf, it falls on the ground along with 3 other backpack blowers. The entire situation was unnecessarily aggressive. I didn’t go to McCoy’s to have an argument about why I wanted a new blower in box and I certainly didn’t go to McCoy’s to engage in aggressive conversation. After the blowers tumbled around on the ground I decided Ace was the better option.
Went to Ace and was immediately greeted walking in the door along with another gentleman asking how they could help. They had multiple BR600 blowers brand new in box as well as better customer service and better rewards.
There’s better options around Montgomery than McCoy’s Building Supply.

Had a very uncomfortable experience this evening. I went in with my husband whom is not white and we got looked at so hard by the employees (ugly looks) and treated as if we wanted to steal! Never get that treatment at Jim’s.
