Don't waste your time, didn't have full access to my funds, ATM would not workand they charged me 30 bucks to close my account. I try to support local but worst bank ever.

This is the absolute worst bank I've ever dealt with. Their policies are terrible but to add to it, the Montgomery branch is incompetent to say the least. They have made mistake after mistake with our accounts. Once they deposited money into the wrong account and when we called to tell them about it, they told us to just move the money over. They refused to fix it. Mind you, these were two separate business accounts. SOTB messed up, they should have fixed it. And I can't tell you how many times they had to order us new debit cards because they couldn't get the names correct.

Very happy with the experience I’ve been having with the bank for years, and especially with Audrey Blevins! Her responsiveness and attention to detail made the SBA loan process very fast and easy to understand. Working with a local banker makes all the difference!

The people in the local branch are great, no complaints about them. My issue is with the policies on the business accounts at SOTB. Bottom line, this bank is no place for a small business account. You will be heavily restricted on how much you can purchase on a debit card transaction ($2,500 max), and the process to attempt to have the limits changed (either temporarily or permanently) are incredibly inconvenient. The nature of my work, and my schedule demand that I do a lot of transactions above that amount after hours or on weekends--when both banks and other vendor brick-and-mortar stores are closed. I rely on their web portals to complete transactions. With SOTB policies so restrictive, this is not possible. SOTB may be fine for a personal checking account, but will be a major obstacle to me being able to do my day-to-day business. Both BoA and Woodforest are much more reasonable in their strategies and policies to balance financial security measures with the conveniences of managing our own accounts. We will be looking to move our money out of SOTB very soon.
