“This motel was close to our route so I'm happy I didn't have to go to far for a place to sleep. They have a great friendly staff, the rooms were decently clean. There was a bit of mold around the tub that I noticed. The bed was comfortable and they allow pets so that's a plus. The whole place looks run down but I think they are renovating what they can, when they can. Soap bars were the only soap in the room but better than nothing. The pond in back was cute, I think the whole area there had a nice feel to it. Even though it was like looking at ruins, I personally liked it.”
“The location is great. Not too far from getting something to eat.
Safety. I've been working out of state for six weeks, and I haven't had to worry about my vehicle getting broken into.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
The rooms are always clean. Very great experience.”
“Candlewood Suites – Mt. Pleasant, TX WAY over-delivered. I’m a Diamond-level Hilton loyalist, but the Hampton here was $200/night—not happening for a work trip. Booked Candlewood for $104 (single queen suite) and was pleasantly surprised.
Check-in was easy, the front desk lady was so sweet, and I even got a free snack. The room is spotless (and actually smells clean), with a dedicated workspace and a big comfy chair + C-table—perfect for eating while watching TV after a long day. Bed = soft and comfy.
Bonus: it’s in the same parking lot as Chili’s and there are lots of food options nearby—super convenient.
For price, cleanliness, and comfort, this place is a win. I’ll happily stay again.”
