Daniel R with radiology was absolutely AMAZING!! Thank you for employing great staff such as him. His was kind, gentle and exceptional in making the patient (myself) feel cared for under my medical painful circumstances. He should be a model for everyone! Give him a raise and never let him leave!

Negligent ER Care – Avoid!!
Came to BSW Murphy ER with sudden numbness in both arms and leg that was greatest on the left side. I have a history of great issues and he only did a 60 second ekg. Dr. Jose Armondo Gutierrez barely saw me (less than 5 minutes), discharged me without any instructions, and prescribed prednisone without explaining why. He sent the nurse in with discharge papers and only returned to the room when I requested to see him. The ER WAS TOTALLY EMPTY. He never told me my potassium was low (3.3), didn’t give me my test results either verbally or paper, left my IV in, and brushed off my symptoms as “anxiety.” Told me an MRI would be better, then did nothing and told me to follow up in 2 days. The ER was empty — he was just sitting at the nurses station. Completely unacceptable care.

I came in after my primary care doctor referred me due to an ongoing finger infection that wasn’t improving. Since I’m diabetic, he was concerned about possible cellulitis or even sepsis. From the start, everyone was kind and helpful. However, my experience with the nurse was disappointing — she made me feel like I was overreacting and even called me “impatient,” suggesting I had probably gone to my PCP too many times, which is why I ended up in the ER. That interaction almost made me walk out.
Thankfully, I stayed — and I’m glad I did. The doctor was very attentive, took my concerns seriously, and provided great care. The visit was quick, efficient, and overall a positive experience — enough to outweigh the rough start and leave me feeling well cared for.
