I found this company a bit pricey but sometimes good service is worth it! Trey was a very hands on supervisor and made sure that everything got done and done right. They even had the air filter delivered that they were out of! Which arrived promptly! Thank y'all for a job well done!

Oil Change Good, State Inspection Terrible11/14/23 -oil change and inspection (both paid)11/15/23 -his inspection cord device broken/out of service11/15-20 no communication from Trey Gibson11/20/23 -brake fluid “low”, eventually passedI’ve been a regular customer to the store in Murphy Texas. I have met three or four different managers, a dozen technicians, and only this time have I had such a frustrating problem. Trey Gibson made bad decisions and inconvenienced me. It took me four (4) trips to get my state inspection on a 2011 Buick enclave with 55,000 miles.(1) I went in for an oil change and a state inspection. The first state inspection hiccup was over the tires —a subjective analysis and yes they were nearly worn out but no steel was showing. Debatable and no objective data was disclosed. Fine. I got new tires and went back.(2) Trey said the state inspection cord/device was broken and took my number and promised to call me when it was repaired. He never called. 5 days later he hadn’t called so I went back.(3) Trey told me my brake fluid was low and that was a fail. We debated, he declined to add fluid, I left. I added brake fluid and went back. Since when don’t you top off fluids?(4) Fourth try I passed. Trey made sure to tell me that he wasn’t going to charge me for the subsequent inspection. I PAID FOR IT ON THE 14th! Any delay in the completion was HIS FAULT. So, no, that wasn’t much of a freebie. He also gave me a 25% off coupon. That suggests that my time over four trips is worth $21 to Trey. Hmmn.We’ve brought six cars to your Murphy, Tx store and to your College Station, Tx store. Usually, the service is fast, reliable, and inspection issues are clear, objective, and undeniable. This stuff was subjective, debatable and absolutely poor excuses to a good customer.Very disappointing and a needless waste of my time X FOUR.

Do you want to get your car serviced by a place that is so successful that they can afford to be racist and turn away business? Then this is definitely the place you want to come to. Imagine running a place of business and being so wildly profitable that you can discriminate against someone for the language that they speak. This must be the #AmericanDream that I always hear about. I am disgusted that this place would turn a person away because she speaks Spanish. I am trying to decide they did it becauseA) they are so secure in themselves and their company that they feel the need to treat people however they please and discriminate against potential customers for the language they speak…or do I dare say discriminate against their race?orB) they are so insecure in themselves and their abilities/skills that they knew they couldn’t do a simple oil change (keep in mind there is no special training or certification needed to do this job. High School students taking shop class can do an oil change. Actually, aren’t they teaching monkeys or AI robots to do this? Nonetheless, the imbeciles working here should have been able to complete this simple task that they are paid to do).In case you’re wondering, the answer is B. No secure person/company would mindfully choose to discriminate. That takes ignorance. So, if you like ignorance, racism, stupidity and/or throwing your money at a place that blatantly shows they don’t need it: come here!

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Worse experience ever! My mother visited this place for an oil change and the staff did not want to help her since she didn’t speak proper english. They were able to get someone to translate for her just to tell her that they were not going to do any service on her truck due to her speaking a different language. They made her feel terrible!! My family and I would always come to this place to get service for our vehicles but after what happened today we’re definitely never coming back to this place!!!! They need more training on how to treat their customers and how to help them regardless what language they speak!!

A bit expensive. Probably go back to the dealership at this price point. $160.00 for an oil change!!! 7 quarts of oil and an oil filter!! SeriouslySigns and company motto is “take 5”. Then why did it take nearly an hour.Young staff and seriously inexperienced. The atmosphere was that of high school auto shop. 3 guys running around paying more attention to the cars passing by than customer in the bay.Service: Oil change

AMAZING SERVICE!!!! was greeted by the staff with a free water and when i was in the shop they showed me everything and explained what they were doing and answered all my questions and i was out in less than 10 minutes!!!! would recommend!!!

That was my last visit to Take 5 Murphy.When it opened, the customer service was excellent, the staff was professional and friendly.It has dramatically fallen off. It is clear that the staff is young, which is great, but they have not been trained on how to interact with customers and act while customers are present.There is no sense of urgency to get customers handled quickly and thoroughly. They don't don't know to bring a customer in to a bay when only one is occupied, making them wait, when 3 or 4 employees are milling around 1 car.Ownership needs to step up, hire better managers, be involved with employee training until they are back to where they were when they opened.I won’t know if that happens because I am not returning.Service: Oil change

Great experience here at this shop. Everyone was very friendly and informative. I didn’t even realize how dirty my filters were, I’m so glad they checked them when I came in. Had a quick and easy service and was out the door. Manager was kind and answered all the questions I had.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement

Just needed a simple oil change. Was shown lack of professionalism and experience in customer service. Not ostracizing the employee Victor, but he requires guidance and an open mind about service and accountability as any service industry employee should have within their skillset.

Horrible customer service, inspector takes his lunches in the middle of cars and turns customers away. Sometimes they do inspection’s properly, other times they just wave you on through and pass you. Definitely do not recommend coming here for anything especially inspection.

Very thorough, Notified me of everything they did and what they found. They took a little longer than expected, but an issue arose which they promptly took care of. I'd rather that than a rush job. I have been to this firms stations all around town and usually it only took 5 or so minutes. I bet if nothing happened this would have been a 5 minute job as well. This location is super close to me and I will use them again. Manage was super. Friendly and talked to me in a manner that was professional as well.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement

Came to get a oil change and Rodney and his crew really helped me get a oil change, filter changed and air on my tires and they even cleaned my windshield as it was really dirty. God bless these gentleman and their business. I recommend everyone and anyone to come and get their oil change here!!

I am disappointed with the service I received. The pricing was deceptive, and the technician didn't fulfill the promises, They didn't check or top off any fluids as they had promised. Additionally, after replacing the oil filter, they didn't put the skid plate back on. Moreover, both technicians who worked on my vehicle had really dirty hands with oil, and they didn't bother to wipe off the hood after the service, leaving behind oil marks. After oil change I was handed over the oil change sticker. The service maintenance reminder was reset after I reminded them. This experience was quite frustrating and unsatisfactory. I would not recommend this place for oil change you can get much better service for less amount at caliber auto or jiffy lube.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement
