Store neat and in order.. generous selection of groceries ...a bit more expensive than other area grocers.

I just moved to Nac from a town in WA with a larger community but still small town. I'm adapting very well despite not finding some of my favorite food items here. Brookshire Bros near me has come to the rescue numerous times already. This kind of thing is "small town". I wouldn't change it for big city living any day.

Much like Whataburger and whatever passes for public radio in this area, every time I interact with Brookshire Brothers, I feel a sense of regret. It's similar to that first bite of turkey bacon in the morning, but this regret happens while I'm still in the store. Something is always wrong. No that's not on sale. You'll have to talk to the people behind the bulletproof glass about the coupon. You have to have a special saver card which requires a 15-step entry process sometimes I'm told "I'll be with you in just a minute" (translation: 17 minutes). The fact that this is the one grocery store that the south side of Nac has is a testament to how the city is trying to create some sort of barrio down here. Honestly I'm fine with that. I live among some pretty great people. But this store needs to go so that something real can come in.
