Took awhile to process my 3 pot belly pigs. Now that I have the meat the pork chops are awesome and the sausage is the best I’ve ever had. Thank you K&C

A lot of recent reviews lately indicating someone stealing meat. I believe the patrons myself. Sadly i was considering to start using them after I had tried their breakfast sausage from a show hog. Where’s there’s smoke theres fire

Dropped off a 1250 pound steer and picked up 354 pounds of beef. That’s less than 30% yield. Never again.

Normally I would not use a processor. That being said I decided to use K&C for processing a ram. I brought in a 2-year-old ram, wanted the animal to be quartered plus keep the heart the liver and the kidneys. What I got back was two front legs, last time I checked a ram has 4 legs, ribs with no meat on them and 8 lbs of ground, no heart and no liver and no hind legs. As everyone knows, the hind legs are the best part of the animal, which I did not get back, not to mention the rest of the meat. My sister and I have been processing sheep and goats here on the farm for years, we know the difference between what I got and what I should have gotten. I called the owner asking him where the rest of the animal was and he stuck to his story trying to convince me that that's all there was. I would not recommend this processor to anyone unless you're fond of having the best parts of the animal you raised go to someone else. It was a hard lesson to learn, but I have learned my lesson and I will never use K&C again nor would I recommend them to anyone.

They do a good job cutting and vacuum packing our lamb meat. Never had any weird or bad tastes, and I know the handling and dispatching of animals had to play a part in that from what I’ve read online. We had one experience where some labels were missing on 2-3 packages of meat, and they made it right the next time we had our lambs processed. I appreciate them taking the time to talk about cuts and what I can have done with the meat when we were still learning and figuring out what works best for us. They always treat my kids with kindness and, while I wish it was a little cheaper, I am happy with the end results.

Well, staff was nice and all but I definitely came up missing beef. I own and operate a cattle ranch. Cows are what I do everyday so I know a little about what I’m saying. I took five of my bigger steers that were too big for my contracts in oct 2020, (around 650 to 700), made an appointment with K&C for April of 2021, and started feeding them out. I put 15,000 pounds of a high fat, 5% feed through them for the 165 days before the appointment. At a mere 2 lbs a day they would have weighed 1000 to 1100 easy, which is what I thought and even the owner acknowledged upon dropping them off. I did debone a lot but I only got 28% meat back. So I called to see if some of my meat was left. I was told by the owner that my steers only weighed around 850 live even though that contradicted his earlier comments. These steers were 17 months old and fed 2.5% of their body weight for 175 days. Apparently I lost roughly 7% of my meat somehow. Packaging was good but I can’t afford to use K&C again.
