Terrible on produce, and better check expiration dates. I went to the deli to get some Ham for sandwiches. The lady pulled out the end piece that was left from the ham, very small pieces. I ask for it to cut from the larger ham. I even helped hold the glass while she picked up the large ham under the glass. Then she tried to pull a switch and started cutting from the small end piece. The pieces would cover about half of a slice of bread. I told her no I did not want that. I talked with the young manager, He went and talked with them and she still refused to cut and larger slices. I told them I want a slice large enough to cover the bread but she still refused. Bad customer service. From now on I'm going to a much better store, HEB. Cleaner, better selection and much better produce. Not to mention courteous staff.

Clean and organized. Staff pleasant. Some Prices higher than other places but other items competitive. Also, produce better than most other places.

If you're in the Market for a Basket case, I have several exs in mind.Easily one of the worst grocery stores we ever used - it's not fresh and it's extremely expensive and service wasn't very nice either. So not a very good grocery store at all for the Port Arthur area. It's expensive and it's missing various things that I would want. For this reason I rarely come to this Market Basket when I'm in town, but they did have a couple things that we needed when we needed them, so we were grateful about that at least.

Moved out here from out of state went there all the time to get money orders for down payments on my apartment and bills. But out of nowhere was told they could not give me one because it was over 500 and without a card with a name on it they cannot do it. I told her we just moved here so we are getting one sent to us in the mail but they have always let us use the card we had till then. So I asked to make 2 money orders and just pay them separately so it's not over 500 first she said it was ok then told me she did not want to anymore knowing I only about 30min to get my rent to my landlord. But lucky for me my landlord was understanding and stayed a bit later and I had another western union location do it for me. Never coming here again, but the grocery staff has always been helpful and nice but that grumpy looking girl at the booth should learn a few things from her coworkers on customer service.

Not sure of this is the Market Basket that is gouging prices during a.catastrophic event...but my understanding all market basket stores are doing so in houston area. $4 + a loaf limit 2 for these people that are.losing their livelihood durimg the worst hurricsne in u s history? Shame on you. Karma is a b***** I wish nothing bad upon anyone anywherr at anytime but shame on you. Is your home.and familys.homes flooded? I live in AZ and donated online and there are truckload of water and food includking bread that had been donayed by your neighboring state. While you all take advantage of a.natural disaster. I am reporting market baskets to the atty generals office in texas. Yep all the way from AZ. Again shamr shame on you. Ya filthy animals.

I stand corrected, they do have a small steam table. The food in it does not appear fresh. See photos.
