I have to say that I am very satisfied with the work on my vehicle. My car was out of commission for about a month. Needed some work done with the Radiator, AC, Tune Up, Oil Change and little extra. Every other shop in NB were out a few weeks due to cars being ahead of me. 4J was just about as busy but they were able to take care of my situation in 3 days!! It has been 2 weeks now and cannot believe how well my car is running. I will definitely be bringing my car back soon to get some minor issues fixed.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement

Stay away! Did an oil change on car and less than 600 miles later, drain plug fell out and seized the motor up. Larry Jones (owner) wont do anything about it. Refuses to give his insurance information, if he has any, to us so they can send an appraiser out and investigate the claim. This is a franchised location...bad for Valvoline. Haven't heard the last of this.

Putting the right oil in one’s vehicle is crucial as is not up selling for codes that were never rendered via any scan. Didn’t top off my fluids and now we have a problem with our oil pump. No problems at all until we brought our vehicle here.In looking for references for reliable service in our neighborhood, we found that we weren’t the only customers this happened to here. Consumers deserve to be informed.

Staff is friendly! I came in this morning for the first time to get my inspection done and they told me it would be about 20-25 minutes because there were 5 cars ahead of mine. Well, they actually were able to inspect my car only 10 minutes later because they’re so fast! The inspection itself was quick, too. Thanks 4J Quick Lube & Car Care!

Been going there 10 years now. Great work! Had an inspection today and LJ junior failed my inspection because of low horn noise. Texas requires that the horn should be heard at least 200 feet. My neighbor and I checked it and we heard it over 400 feet. He also stated he could fail me because I didn't have a 3rd brake light. My truck is 2007 but the manufacturer date is 2006. It was made without this third light. He repeated this quite a few times. Sorry to post this, but just a heads up. I can't complain about their work because they have ALWAYS done a super job.

Took my car on Memorial weekend because the AC stopping working. They attempted to recharge it then realized the compressor was leaking. Knowing I was from Houston and it could not be be repaired at 4 pm on Saturday. That only charged me 25. This placed seems honest and fair. Will use them again when I’m in town.

I had to call the police on them because they wanted to charge me for "parts and labor" when I only needed a state inspection! Avoid this place at all costs! What was supposed to be a $7 inspection almost became a $250 bill.My wife took the vehicle on Friday and it did not pass inspection because the passenger-side headlights were not working. Apparently, they removed the lightbulb and placed a new one in just to test it, and it "did not work" either. They said we had 14 days to bring it back, and they would run the inspection again at no cost. I tried to fix the headlight this morning and found that there was no lightbulb in it. Maybe they forgot to put it back in or it fell out. I put an old working lightbulb in the headlight and took the vehicle in. Four different people asked to hear my version of what had happened. One of them said, "We will replace the lightbulb. It was our mistake. No worries." Then the manager, Cheyenne, said, "We will replace the lightbulb, and to check the car, we charge $130 an hour, but we can give you a discount." I waited a couple of minutes. Then the cashier, Samuel, called me and said I had to pay for the lightbulb that apparently they put in today. I told them I was never advised I would have to pay for their mistake. He said he was told to charge me, and that's it. I asked to talk to the manager, and he called her. As soon as she answered the phone, she started yelling, saying that I had to pay for the bulb because they replaced it for me. I asked, "If you replaced the old lightbulb, then give me the old lightbulb." She replied, "I'm not going to look in the garbage for your precious lightbulb. If you don't pay, I'm going to call the cops. You are not leaving my premises without paying." Obviously, they did not replace any lightbulbs and wanted me to pay for something I never asked for or authorized. I told her to remove the "new bulb" they put in today, and she said she was not removing it because it was already damaged. It was their mistake not to tighten the lightbulb or put it back in, and I was the one at fault here because I discovered it. I called the police and told the officer what happened. Then the manager said, "I could charge you $250 for the parts and labor because when your wife came a few days ago, we gave her a free bulb, and the hour of labor was not charged either." I called my wife and asked her if it was true (while she was on speakerphone), and she said, "Nobody ever mentioned anything similar to that. I was never told they would charge me to check the vehicle or that they had given or tried to give me a new bulb." When the manager, Cheyenne, heard that, she changed her attitude, and it seems she was not aware of the situation. She was talking to three or four different mechanics who do not seem to have a clue how to work in a team. The lack of communication is amazing in this business. To make a long story short, I left the business. The manager, Cheyenne, did not care to apologize or even acknowledge their mistake. They made me feel like it was my mistake for choosing them and for having an old vehicle. I will never do business with them, and I will warn my family about them. Please bring back the old management! This new management is rude and awful.

"Family owned" does not equal good mechanical or other service. manager is now former jiffy lube employee. Damaged my vehicle, had to consult attorney to obtain payment to repair for simple oil change. Argued with me regarding the damage. Avoid.

A disappointing experience. The alignment rack was not working. Had to explain the 100k service needed for the car several times -- Replace engine oil and oil filter, replace engine coolant, rotate tires. Replace engine coolant change was not done. Also they rip the leather on steering wheel.Services: Tires

I would not recommend this place. I asked if they had a specific oil weight but did not say it was only fully synthetic before doing my oil change. Surprise, that will be $100.

Wonderful service, they are brutally honest about how long things will be or how to replace things!after reviewing the 1 star reviews, it seems most of them dont know what they are talking about and are instead venting to small businesses. i cant understand whyService: Oil change

I would give zero stars if I could! Talk about taking advantage of a woman! He did my inspection and then failed me after saying the window tint was too dark Lol he checked that first and could have just let me know instead of doing the entire inspection, making me pay and THEN telling me I failed. I went next door to see if they would treat me the same way and nope! They saw my windows and said hey your tint won’t pass here’s a place that might work with you, etc etc. ladies beware!

I have had continuous positive experiences here. They are always friendly, accommodating, and reliable service. I've had several problems with cylinders misfiring and when the problem returned 48 hours later, 4-J got the car in and repaired at no additional charge. They offer military discount t and coffee h the waiting room. Funny videos on the tv, which of you have to have tv, it should be funny tv. Keeps me comically distracted. Thank y'all for being such a reliable local business.
