Dr. Cruz and staff were amazing! Not only did we receive excellent care during our appointment, but our during our follow-up care as well! This is the only place I have ever taken my pet that has been willing to answer any questions over the phone, and INSIST on getting me connected with the veterinarian to properly address my concerns. Definitely recommend this team for compassionate and empathetic care for both pets and pet parents!

By far the BEST vet clinic I have ever been to. The team is so kind and compassionate and truly care for your pet’s well-being. I know when I call and say it’s Coco’s mom that they know exactly who my fur baby is, and love her just as much as I do. Thank y’all so much for your compassion and support with our Coco girl and now our new puppy Cola. We’ll take our pets to y’all furr-ever. ❤️

I brought my rescue to Comal Pet Hospital shortly after adopting him. At my first appointment with my new dog I discovered he was heartworm positive which was understandably very scary and stressful. Dr. Cruz and his technicians did a miraculous job at addressing my concerns, answering all of my questions and educating me on my pups diagnosis. Putting a dog through heartworm treatment is terrifying but I’m glad I did it here

Have been coming here for years. They have always been upfront about what they find and costs. Let you decide course of action. Fair on costs of vaccinations and treatments. Give them a chance and you might find them to be your family vet.

Yesterday my dog got injured very unexpectedly and when I called Comal Pet Hospital they were able to squeeze him in. They were fully booked and took a look at my dog anyways and were able to help him. The receptionist was very understanding and compassionate when she took my call as well.

This place is ok but my Lord, trying to get them on phone is almost impossible. We’ve told them about the phone issue but it still persists. It’s upsetting to keep on trying to get in touch & then having to drive up there to be told we don’t have enough staff, really? With what Vets charge, come on …. God way to lose business, do better !!!!!!! I’d never recommend them

Noooooooooooooo. Never take your fur baby here! Take them to Dr McBride at Clear Springs Vet. He used to be one of Comal vets back when it was a little hometown vet! Now they are about money with an uncaring incompetent staff!

I will NEVER recommend this vet to ANYONE. Unfortunately our incident happened a few years ago but I think this is still very important to make known, and it's something my family and I will have to live with forever. BUT one of our neighbors recently experienced the SAME thing when wanting to put their pet down as well! At the time we had a 3 year old lab who became deathly ill, we assumed it was parvo but the test came back negative and they couldn't tell us what it was. She had blood in her stool and throw up, stopped eating and drinking, and was making the most agonizing noise from her pain I have never heard from a dog that filled up our house and I NEVER want to hear that noise again. My family came to the conclusion it was from a rawhide bone that had splintered inside her, unfortunately we never found the real cause. We originally went to have her put down because we just couldn't stand seeing her in horrible pain and blood constantly in her stool. The dr did NOT want to put her down and talked my vulnerable family into spending over $600 on medication that should help it pass 'in a few days'. She didn't even last 3 days and ended up dying in front of our eyes in the most traumatic and painful way. So we were stuck with all this useless medication. We called the dr to inform them and complain about their decision, a few days later they had the audacity to send us a 'sorry for your loss' card as if they weren't the one's responsible for our dog living way past what we wanted her too! The fact our incident happened a few years ago our neighbor recently went through this same thing is absolutely insane. These vets should be ashamed of themselves for being greedy and money hungry from families that are already suffering.
