A groups of 8 of us came in last minute for tattoos while on a girls trip. Bek took excellent care of us all and did an amazing job! We got to met Nate the owner of the shop as well! I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for some new ink to stop by and get it here at Comal River Tattoo Shop. Everyone was super friendly. It is a very clean shop as well. I live in Midland Texas and will definitely be making the drive for my next tattoos.

The crew at Comal River Tattoo are informed and personable. Each artist seems to have artistry top of mind with tattoo traditions in the mix as well. It was my first tattoo. I am nearing 67 and had thought about getting one all my life. I knew the dragon was where I was going, never knew how I was going to get there. Well the staff knew I didn’t exactly know how I would arrive at the design I wanted as it was in pieces not yet joined and its placement underdetermined. I was introduced to Mike Penick, who understood my vision, and ran with it. Simplicity in the design, I liked that Mike walked and talked me through it all. Want the best; Mike knocked the cover off the frickin ball! Price was fair!

Best walk in shop in down town new braunfels! Very professional and awesome vibes!! They have award winning artists to choose from. They're connected to Tavern on Castell so you're able to grab some food and a drink if you have to wait at all. All around great tattoos and experience!

Me and my wife have talked about getting our first tattoos for a few years and came here late on a Saturday date night. Mike and Bek talked us through the process each step. We were nervous at first but they made the experience very comfortable and enjoyable. We love our tattoos and will definitely be coming back

I had been trying to finish my wolf tattoo for about 4 years now since I could not get in contact with my artist that originally did my wolf with blue eyes, my girlfriend had went in to get a cover up and she loved it and told Beka I had been wanting to finish up my wolf, she took on the challenge and was able to get me in same day. I showed up right after work and she got straight to work on designing and allowed her to throw her own little twists to it and i am absolutely amazed and so happy how this came out. If anything this looks way better than what i had imagined. She took really good care of me, made sure i stayed hydrated, gave me candy to make sure my blood sugars were normal. They also have an amazing restaurant connected to the shop and definitely recommend to go eat there before getting work done. I 10/10 recommend to come to this shop, the kindness and family vibe this place has is unbeatable. Thank you so much again Beka for absolutely killing this! I will be back to complete my sleeve with you!??

My boyfriend and I both came in here yesterday and I am soooo happy we did!! I originally stopped in just to see if they had time for a quick fix on an existing tattoo I wasn’t happy with but I was able to talk with Beka and she came up with an idea so much better than I ever considered!! I went for it and decided to add this goat as well and I could not be happier. My confidence from yesterday to today is on cloud 9 and she did amazing!!! Everyone that I met there Beka, Mike, and Nathan were super kind and talented artists. The shop did not feel intimidating to me at all and the vibe was really awesome. I got to laugh and joke with them the entire time and it really just added to a great experience. The shop is beautiful inside and they have SO MUCH art for you to look at!! I love that. They’re also attached to a bar with great food so it was super cool to be able to get a meal between tattoos. I can’t wait to save up more money and get some work done by all of the artists here, this is my new go to place!! They also offer some really fun activities I haven’t seen at other shops like a little machine that dispenses random tattoo designs and you get what you get for $100 which would normally be a $250 tattoo. I love spontaneous stuff like that and you can tell how much care and effort they put into making this shop awesome. Hell yeah guys?

I went today for my very 1st tattoo. Rebecca is awesome and such a sweet heart. She did an amazing job. I will not be going anywhere but here for my tats. Everyone was so nice and welcoming including the owner Nate.

My boyfriend and I went on a whim after seeing a flyer for their one year anniversary walk-in event. From the get go, everyone was not only extremely kind and professional but so freakin talented too. The atmosphere was awesome and the shop was well kept and very clean. Definitely the best walk-in experience I have ever had with a tattoo shop and we totally plan on coming back. Stayed until over 2am enjoying the conversation with the artists!

LOVE this tattoo shop! The artists and the atmosphere are all great! Everyone is so knowledgeable and explain everything out to you from the good to the bad. I showed Bek an idea of what I wanted and she ran with it and made it so much better than what I could of imagined! They took us in as walk ins and took their time making sure we were happy. Definitely recommend!
