Went for a state inspection. Pro tip: Make sure your insurance card has expiration date on it. First come first serve - there was a couple people waiting in line in front of me, but they were handing out cold water bottles which was nice of them. The staff was overall very friendly. Stayed in my car the whole time.Cost was $7

Went there to get a state inspection. Waited about 10 minutes before an employee showed up to do the inspection. He checked my headlights, turn signals, tires, and windshield wipers. Then he got a call on his phone and acted concerned. The next thing he did is walk away without telling any other employees, get in his van in the parking lot, and drive away. I sat in my truck for about 5 minutes wondering if he was coming back before I asked one of the employees what was going on. That employee just said he didn't know (and obviously didn't care) so I waited another 10 minutes before I went looking for a supervisor or someone who would help me. Not a single employee there would help me and i was told the supervisor had gone to lunch. Finally another employee said he's do the inspection, but the first thing he said was that my windshield wipers were no good.. they are practically brand new..no more than six months old. I had had enough of the employees sassy, unhelpful remarks and their passive aggression so I left. What a terrible experience. I would strongly recommend you never go near Take 5 on Walnut in New Braunfels...for anything.

Went to have my oil change done for my 2020 Chevy Sonic. I've been going to Take 5 for years for the customer service and value. If I could give 0 stars I would. It was a terrible experience.Everything was going good until one of the service technicians named Joel came and told us that our hose to our water reservoir broke. He very rudely asked us to step out of the car and showed us where it broke from. He stated that it came in like that. Then proceeded to say we couldn't drive out and they would have to push the car out and we would have to have it towed. We were taken aback because we literally had no problems with it up until then. I'm sure that one of the service technicians were too rough when using their wrench on broke it off. When we asked if he knew what the part was or called Joel said, " We're not mechanics, this isn't a mechanic shop." He might need to look up his profession. He was very rude and had a terrible attitude. He was absolutely no help and continued to rush thru with the oil change and still charged us for full service when they in fact did not take the time to check the tires or anything else they stated they did. After charging us and half showing us the oil stick. They pushed our car out of the bay and left us there on our own. Now my husband and I know that they vehicle was not like that when we got there otherwise according to Joel it would not be drivable. So, they definitely broke the part and blamed us. We asked if we could leave our vehicle there temporarily while we went to get the part. Joel didn't want us to but another tech was nice enough to tell us yes.We managed to walk to Chevy to buy the part in all took us 30 mins there and back, when we got back, we needed pliers to get the part on and asked to borrow some since we were in the same parking lot. Joel managed to let us use some really despicable pliers, but we made it work. He acted as if we were such an inconvenience to him. For something that was their fault. We aren't "Mechanics" but we Fixed our car and drove away. I won't ever go to this Take 5 again.

Unethical company; please do your due diligence when shopping here. My truck was disabled within 20 miles of service and I have basically been told too take it to court. If you are a service member or family member please proceed with caution, the discount is not worth the heart ache. They damaged the engine in my truck, they towed it to a repair shop and it has been there for over 60 days. Morals are at an all time low these days and it honestly starts with companies like this. I hope that no hardworking family has to go thru what I have had to endure with corporate bullies and the lack of character dealing with this company. I have attached a picture of fluids coming out of my truck, after the services and the mechanics diagnosis of the cause of the damage. Take 5 has just informed me to talk to their lawyer... Please watch with whom you give your money too. Don't fall for the big Veterans discount sign in front of the store. Friends dont let friends shop with dishonest companies. If you have had the same experience, I would love to hear from you. We are all different but the disdain for cheats, liars and thieves is the same.

These are the only guys I trust. I moved 45 minutes away and still make the drive whenever I need something. Friendly, knowledgeable, and they take great care of their customers. Management has done an incredible job of instilling value into everyone and keeping it a fun environment. I recommend them to everyone I know.

The guys here were awesome. They took their time and made sure everything was done correctly and even helped me out with a couple of extra things at no charge. They exceeded my expectations and I will be returning in the future.

I am always so happy with my service here.I've been going to this location for a few years now and not only are they quick and efficient, they just have absolutely the nicest team ever. I always feel taken care of and like I'm in good hands, with really honest people who aren't just trying to make a buck (truly, I had a guy show me a way to SAVE money one time and I will forever be grateful). Attitudes like that just cement return customers, in my opinion, and I am definitely proof of that.Not to mention, getting to stay in my car the whole time feels comfortable and safe (rather than being ferried into a stark waiting room!). You get to know exactly what's happening to your car in real time, and they make sure to show you and keep you in the loop as they work!For wait times, I'll often grab a coffee or a sandwich beforehand if I anticipate a longer line than usual, but they're pretty good at getting you in and out quickly. And on hotter days with longer lines, they've even offered out bottles of water!Long story short, if you're looking for somewhere easy, efficient, and honest to get those little routine maintenances done (wipers, oil changes, tires pumped) this is definitely the place to go. These guys will make sure you feel taken care of!

The guys are pretty on point I hate showing up just before closing ugh but on this particular day I was “that” person, and for that I apologize. The way they all jumped in to get it done showed teamwork and commitment I was impressed. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star rating because the corporate team thinks a filter should cost $26 I found it elsewhere for $7.21. Come on now that’s ridiculous highway robbery and I was going to have them not do it but when I looked up the guys had already installed and I would have felt bad for making them take it out. So I ate the $20+ savings and just paid for it. All in all amazing guys at the New BraunfelsTX LOCATION THANKS GUYS !!!!!Services: Air & cabin filter replacement

The guys at Take 5 in New Braunfels are wonderful!! They were very helpful & kind. They did my inspection & changed my wiper blades very quickly. I enjoyed being able to stay in my car & watch them work. The whole experience was great & I will definitely go back there when I need something done for my car.Thank you for your wonderful service & sweet attitudes.

The service writer was courteous fast responsive caring and professional. The oil pit crew was also 5 star. They have the best products, check your fluids and tire pressure, replacing dirty filters at your request. They are most trustee folks at Walnut Drive and I 35 across from Walmart. I am an extremely satisfied customer and will always go back to them

I was very impressed with this company. You pull up, someone comes out with a cool bottle of water. Asks what you need done. They’re quick friendly and on the ball. Everyone should go and get this treatment when you get an oil change. Felt very taken care of.Service: Oil change

I came here to get an oil change on my BMW 435i and I asked the employee who approached my window if they did Mobile 1 oil changes with Mobile 1 filter and the guy said they did. It turns out they don’t use mobile 1 filters, but they do allow you to bring your own. The manager, Mike was very kind and apologized on behalf of the employee who made the mistake and went to the nearby auto part store to buy me the mobile 1 filter to install in my car. His level of professionalism and customer service well exceeded the standard in my opinion and I’d come back again for another oil change in the future.I left here extremely happy. Thanks again, Mike!
