What a fabulous place with an amazing selection of everything, ice cream, candy, t-shirts and gift items. We will probably have to stop back for some souvenirs before heading north.

We LOVE this place! We regularly drive about 75 minutes each way to visit and pick up some of their salsas, habanero pickles and anything else we find that my wife must have. The friendliest staff and the owners are fantastic! HIGHLY recommend their Roasted Reaper Salsa and their Ghost Chili Salsa- it's hands down the BEST I've tried!

I just love Gruene General store. it has a little bit of everything. There's an fountain bar with ice cream several different flavors and floats .. The store is packed with Christmas ornaments, a wide assortment of candies that you won't find at HEB. who would've thought I could find an Abba Zabba here! Cute store with fudge, signs , stickers, souvenirs and the list goes on

The store is always delightful but it gets even a bit more magical at Christmas. This is a genuine Texas-style general store that will take you all the way back if you were born before 1970. They support Texas businesses and you will never walk out of here empty handed. This is my stop when I want to pick up mayhaw jelly and a few other hard-to-find treats.

This is a great place to stop in and shop. There are license plates hooked to the wooden floors. They have a fun selection of birthday cards, candy, jarred foods, polished rocks, hats and everything in between.

I could've spent an hour in this store just looking at all the cool things, but it was a nice cool day out so I left after a short while. I loved this place. There is no way you can vista Gruene without stepping inside here.

After visiting the Gruene Market (3rd Saturday of the month), my dad and I ventured through town and popped into the general store. This was such a cute little store that had a wide variety of goods. Not only did they have some fun t-shirts but they also had knickknacks, candy, fudge, ice cream and more. We decided to get a t-shirt as well as try a few of their fudges. I also think their prices were very fair compared to some of the other in-town little stores. From the fudge counter, we tried the Chewy Praline, Orange Creamsicle, Vanilla Cheesecake and Chocolate Caramel Cracker. The vanilla cheesecake fudge was definitely the best but all were tasty. The people behind the counter were very friendly and this was a fun place to visit. I'd definitely stop in next time I was in Gruene.

This General Store is a must see while spending the day in Gruene. Unique items for sale which me back to my childhood including nostalgic candy items. Not too much room to move around but that's typical for these older buildings. Fudge was fantastic & the ice cream was creamy & flavorful. I'll be back!

Nice little general store. had some of about everything. Nice little ice cream parlor, and don't miss the collection of old vinyl records. You are sure to find something you want.

It's wonderful atmosphere for the old and young alike. There are lots of unique gifts to find, or you can just sit up to the old fashioned soda bar and have ice cream, homemade fudge, or other soft drinks.

The Gruene General Store is in a great location, right in the heart of Gruene, and so it's a great stop if you're walking around. They sell fudge, candy, pickles, t-shirts, jams, magnets, etc. - a lot of miscellaneous souvenirs from your trip. I'd be in years before, but on a drive from San Antonio to Dallas, my brother and I stopped in a few Texas Hill Country towns to explore a bit and stretch our legs. I enjoyed stopping in and shopping at Gruene General Store. Definitely a fun place to stop and shop if you're in town!
