Don't bother stopping here. Today at 10:00 am, I stopped here for gas. This place has the slowest pumps. It has never taken so long to get gas. I waited in my car because I was not in a rush so I put up with the inconvenience. When my tank was about filled I went out and stood by the pump. As I am standing there, gas starts to pour out of the tank and the pump does not cut off. There is gas running down my car and on my foot! I tried to move as fast as I could but it caught me off guard. I had to manually turn the pump off. So I went inside to let them know about their situation. They are not surprised and have no interest in anything I have to say. The manager told me that it was my responsibility to watch the pump.So it is not that they failed to service their pumps and keep them functioning, like all the other gas stations. I needed to know that something like this would happen.How gross!But, believe in karma.

How is it even ethical to charge $3.40 a gallon for E85 and Diesel both????? Price gouge much? I will NEVER return to this station. I will go to the one on 46 where E85 is less than the price of regular gas. Should be arrested for overcharging!

When my husband suggested this place after church one Sunday, I was hesitant because we had our 17 yr old son with us. I mean, it's a bar, right? I shouldn't have worried. We entered and sat on the side that was more intended for dining. Friendly service, really good food. My son had the friend shrimp basket and loved it. Hubbie had the oyster basket and started with a few on the half-shell. He said it was all delicious. I had a salad tipped with grilled shrimp and they were really good. Not sure what the seasoning was, but it was unique.Would definitely return. I wouldn't say it's a spot for little kids at all, but older teens like mine will be fine in this establishment.

We visited the Oyster Bar for dinner one night. We shared a spinach artichoke dip which was good. The chips were very salty but tasted completely appropriate with the dip.I had the blackened Ahi Tuna which was delicious! It was served with a generous potion of their interesting Cole slaw. I really liked the Cole slaw but it was a little spicy for my wife's tastes. Others had been brisket sliders, catfish Po boys, fried catfish and a chicken dish. All were happy with the food.The restaurant is also a bar and had some outdoor seating on the sidewalk and also in a back patio. There is parking in the back and on the street. It was a little noisy but not too bad. It is a casual atmosphere.While none of us tried the oysters, we all enjoy d the food and had a great night.

We both had an oyster basket and house salad and shared an order of artichoke dip. The salad was large, crisp and cold with a good variety of ingredients. The artichoke dip was large enough to make an entree if one so desired. Each oyster basket had a large serving of french fried potatoes and ten fried oysters, a whole lot of food. All of the food was excellent.The service was prompt and attentive and we were visited twice by managers inquiring if we were being taken care of. We were, quite nicely. The property is attractive and has ample parking behind the restaurant. The bar offers entrees other than oysters for those who do not appreciate see food. The Oyster Bar is well worth visiting often when in New Braunfels.

We were visiting from out of town & couldn't find gas on our way back home. Luckily, this gas station was open for service & provided it! Great customer service & very convenient! :)
