I went to the station on the far left early in the morning and I’m from out of town. I accidentally filled up my vehicle with DEF because I thought it was regular fuel. There was black DEF poorly labeled on the left and green diesel labels on the right. The pump size also fit my regular vehicle. I filled half my tank with DEF not knowing and it crystallize in my vehicle I’m now at the service station paying hundreds of dollars to get it fixed. I went to the shell site and come to find out another person had this same experience 1 year ago. I also called into the shell today to ask about the fueling station and the person wouldn’t even take my call they wouldn’t answer my questions and would only repeat call tomorrow my manager isn’t here. Extremely disappointing.
I wanted to add an update to my review. I had originally given one star because of my situation. I did contact shell and to my surprise they did call me back and offered to pay half the cost of my repairs. I am thankful for the customer care they showed after they heard about my situation.

Nice clerks but my card got skimmed. I have owned my USAA card for years and may have to starve while I wait for a new card. I may never buy gas here again but snacks and beer are a definite go-go!
Edit: Also, be wary of the cheese and sausage platters! Either that, or did my intestines just become a chocolate river, all on their own?

Pulled into this gas station Friday 6/7/24 around noon - far left pump. As with most pump stations - green handle Diesel on the right and regular gas on left. Due to poorly marked pump station and standard equipment...Pumped 8+ gallons of DEF into my gas tank. Would suggest to mgmt better fuel island and pump markings AND a DEF nozzle that DOES NOT fit gas tank receptacles. After driving a mile or so and trying to restart...My car is now in shop with anticipation of several thousand dollars of repair. A HUGE inconvenience and frustration. Purpose of this review is to warn others - and encourage management to better mark and warn others for this Diesel only pump island. Involving insurance company/legal counsel at this time.

The men who work at this gas station are so nice and helpful. They told me about Fischer's after I said, it was the nicest Shell Gas Station I have ever been to. Very interesting, I think its great how the Fischer's are improving gas stations in the New Braunfels area!

Is it some kind of a conspiracy now that no gas stations are putting receipt paper out at the pump so for some reason pay at the pump means go inside?

The DEF Diesel Exhaust Fluid pump nozzles fit in gasoline engine gas tanks, and there’s no warning not to use DEF in gasoline vehicles. All other pumps are gasoline on one side and diesel on the other. I inadvertently pumped a gallon of DEF in my gasoline car, and now I’m stranded. If customers don’t pay close attention, they will be having their cars towed to a shop to have the gas tank drained like me.
