The employee at the counter helping me mail my package made numerous spelling errors on the shipping label (after I offered to spell the entire address out for him) including the destination city, and when I pointed it out to him inquiring if my package would arrive at its destination with 5+ errors to the address he said “they can figure it out.” When I politely asked if we could create a new label or correct it he said “if it doesn’t get there it will come back to you.” He was wildly unhelpful and couldn’t have seemed to care less or take any responsibility for his errors.

If I could give NEGATIVE 1000 stars I would. I ship out 30+ packages a day giving them so much business. The post office has lost so many packages of mine. I package all of my items very well and they have also delivered many destroyed. I file a claim and it is denied because they want me to bring in the destroyed item to the post office. No buyer is going to want to do that and I cannot because the package was delivered to the buyer...destroyed. how am I supposed to do that? They have cost me so much money it's truly ridiculous. I filed a post office pickup and 30% of the time they mark as picked up and they never come by. No one ever answered their phones when we call. Our mail carrier gave us a number to their actual manager and they don't even answer their phones. All around JOKE!

There is usually a line, but that's typical of most post offices. What's best about this place is the service. the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and try to get you in and out of there as quickly as they can.

This post office is horrendous now I understand the comments made for this post office.
They are very unhelpful I was unaware if they had the DS-11 forms to fill out and prior to my appointment and was told to come back with the form. Maybe I didn't read that instruction.. well fine but I came back with the form and I was about 15 minutes late for the appointment and had the form filled out and the employee i had dealt with even knew i was there filling out the form and he didn't even want to deal with me so he had another employee help me do the passport but than she told me im pass the appointment time... the weird thing is I wasn't told I couldn't be passed the appointment time and the employee didn't tell me I couldn't come back pass the time.. all he told me was to have the form and come back but oh well will do the passport at the tax office instead next time.

I had a very disappointing and frustrating experience at the New Braunfels Post Office. The manager was extremely rude and unprofessional throughout the visit. When I tried to ask a question, I was met with attitude and disrespect. It felt like they had no interest in helping anyone unless they “fit” a certain look.
Even worse, the two employees at the front counter were not doing their jobs. Instead of assisting the customers waiting in line, they stood around talking and laughing with each other while the line continued to grow. It was clear they had no urgency or interest in helping the public.
What made the experience even more upsetting was that the manager appeared to ignore or dismiss anyone who looked Hispanic or Black. Several customers were visibly uncomfortable with how they were treated — including myself. It gave the impression that there was clear bias and discrimination going on, which is completely unacceptable in a federal facility.
This was one of the worst post office experiences I’ve ever had. Something needs to be done about the management and staff behavior at this location.

Hours of operation are wrong online. I got to the post office at 3:40 p.m.and it was closed when the website said it didn't close until 5pm. Is there a negative star?

From my experience, the staff are very helpful and hardworking individuals. I’m not sure why they get a lot of backlash at this location. I find it to be busier closer to closing time so if you’re in a rush, come earlier.

Really good USPS location! I had no problems shipping a 100 pound box to my son. Sure it was a bit expensive but it makes since because it has to go to Japan. But also people say they're rude, it's because they have to deal with incompetent people all day. Also if you complain about prices, take it up with the government. Also Ernie deserves a raise! We had to keep going around in line but he took us in without us having to go around the line again. This man is the best! Also multiple times he made the line laugh and it was great! Thank you Ernie! Tell him thanks from the Zazueta family!

Semi long line but the 3 staff were efficient and nice! Tip: they do Walk in Passport appointments only on Friday 12-3. *only if they have a full staff!
