What is it with Dollar General? This was my first and last visit to this establishment. I found the staff member, Liz, to be extremely rude and nasty. If someone has a concern, it's important to address it respectfully rather than dismissing them and walking away. If customer service is part of the role, it should be carried out. If you don't like your job, quit.

On 1/27/25, I went into the store to buy some chips and also asked to use the restroom. The manager, an old, chucky Hispanic woman named Memmie(?) said the restroom was locked and the key was lost. Since the Dollar General only has the one restroom, I asked the manager where she goes to use the bathroom and she replied she "goes outback" (craps in the woods behind the store?). Dollar General employees and customers shouldn't have to go out into the woods to use the restroom. That's just nasty. The manager was either lying about the restroom being locked or she is crapping in the woods. Either way, that's not cool.

Cashier older lady is very rude and will deny your digital coupons. She will take your number off and act like she doesn’t know what’s going on, I’ve worked for this company so I know what she’s doing. I had a few items that came out to $1.47 before I could even swipe my card, she hit a button which was most likely the remove phone number and it changed to $5. Something and very rudely asked how I wanted to pay. So I asked her what happened to my coupons and she said she wasn’t price overriding them, which that was a lie she didn’t have to override anything. So I said let me put my number back in and once again she took it off, so I just left. Very unprofessional

There is a woman of approximately 50..55 years of age who is very rude. I went for the first time at this time to try if I could buy with digital coupons. It was my first time using them. She treated me so badly that I lost the desire to continue trying saying that the That we use coupons is a business. The truth is, I used them for my personal use in my house and I say if the store puts them in because the cashiers get angry ? I have seen many bad comments about this lady I don't understand why they haven't fired her she doesn't understand that your work depends on us clients

The cashier is a lady of about 50 years old, very rude. She yelled very badly at my children and they are good children. My 5-year-old girl and my 3-year-old boy yelled at them and pointed her finger at them saying that they couldn't touch anything. They were very rude. Scared, I confronted her and she told me that if I know that every time I go there she treats me badly, why would I go shopping with them, I should go somewhere else.
I posted on the Facebook page that we have as neighbors and everyone had the same opinion that she is a person who treats customers badly and other people thought that they are no longer going to buy anything from that store because of that lady because she is very rude, now it is better they go to other stores
She is a Hispanic woman with light skin color, dark hair, around 50 years old.
Next time I will record video to have proof

As per Dollar General's business model there is practically one in everyone's neighborhood so hopping in and jumping right back out is easily doable any weekday on through the weekend. Convience is key with any social or family gathering. Most prep items, cutlery, condiments, drinks, or drinkware needed are a moment away & no one need forget ice. You will find most everyday items in the store for under $5 and it would shock me to ever see anything over $10 which makes monthly budgeting a breeze and holidays to die for! My only complaint is the staff interaction is usually limited to the register only & very few are either helpful answering questions nor do they seem pleasant. This criticism is actually based on at least 4 stores I regularly frequent, 2 others somewhat infrequent and 5 cities I have resided in throughout the years, being such a long period of time I thought I'd mention it perhaps the management may wish to give their staff new training options, you never know(sometimes a fresh outlook is a game changer)!!
