I can't believe I am writing a review about a bank.I have mostly dealt with large banks, like Bank of America, Wells Fargo, etc. The service at those institutions was impersonal, but did what I needed.Based on that experience, I started using an online-only bank. One reason I switched was the online bank (Aspiration) does not invest in fossil fuel companies and they make donations to reforestation efforts. They just aligned to my views. I mean, why not an internet bank? If it's impersonal anyway, why not just do everything online?I found a couple services the online banks don't handle as well as a local bank: cash deposits and cashing in U.S. Savings Bonds.The cash deposits weren't that big a deal, since I don't have very many of them, but I have received a few. The bigger issue was the savings bonds. I inherited savings bonds when my mom passed a couple years ago. They have been sitting in my safe because I'm a procrastinator and didn't really know how to handle inherited bonds. One day, while looking for something else, I came across the bonds and decided it was time to do something about them.I wanted a Texas-based bank and selected two to visit.I started opening an account at the first one I visited (Texas Bank) and was told there would be a hold on the funds for a couple weeks. I decided not to open an account, based on that.Next, I visited Frost Bank. I asked about opening a new account and mentioned the bonds, asking about any hold. I was told the funds would be available immediately, so we started the process of opening an account.The person I worked with was named Elijah and he was EXTRAORDINARILY helpful and really got to know me and my banking needs. The account setup was quick, but then he had me download the Frost banking app to my iPhone and helped me set it up! By "getting to know me, " I mean really getting to know me. By the time I left, he knew about my work with TxETRA and my passion for electric vehicles and renewable energy.True to his word, when I checked the app, later that day, all the funds were available to me!But wait, the story doesn't end there.About two weeks after I opened the account, I got a phone call from a manager at that particular Frost branch, asking about my experience opening the account. Unfortunately, I cannot remember his name, but he asked about my use of the app, to make sure I wasn't having any difficulties. He also guided me through setting up some of Frost Bank's fraud protection settings on their website. I made sure to mention the great service I had received from Elijah. Somewhere in the conversation, something clicked for the manager and he said, "Oh, you're that electric car guy!"Now that I have experienced what a PERSONAL banking experience is like, I'll always have a Frost bank account.

I love frost they are friendly and very helpful I was struggling one time and omg did they go far and beyond to help me out, online chat and Customer Service call center is a 0 ⭐️ for me. They never help you on chat or call yhey always say go to a branch and speak to someone in person which if i had time i would, however everyone i sode the branch is very helpful and nice when i have time to go, other than that i found my forever bank i just wont be calling customer service or chat service im just gonna have to wait till i have time to go in person

Hard to rate. The tellers here are always friendly which is appreciated. However for Bankers they don't take appointments and there is only one on Saturdays so it's not convenient when you need a banker. I am a part of a charity org that banks here and we needed to change the names on our account for the new officers. It's hard to get everyone on the same schedule because we all work so Saturdays are usually best. However as a new mom with a 3 week old I cannot be away from my child for hours on end because it's a first come first serve basis. Highly reccomend adding appointments for bankers or staff appropriately as I feel like working professionals have a hard time making it during the week.

Its now 10:15 a.m . Jan 7 2021Doesn't feel very welcomeOne of woman in the green sweater judging me immediately after I caught her looking at me up-and-down did that fake smile..mind you im always fresh.. brand new shoes name brand work out fit, diamond earrings. So thank you for telling me knw I look beautiful.So I choice to go to a different cashier her name Davon ..no im not rich i work hard & live pay check by paycheck never have time for anything because I work so muchAlways feeling like they are Police station or as if I got pulled over it's over becauseof my i.d ..I under your trying to do your job poor young gentleman with black grasses embarrassingIt's only reason that I gave a one star is because supposedly Devon went to the back and asked her supervisor or her manager the one that opened my my account if it was OK to give me large bills for over the amount that I was asking cause the ATM was not allowing me Do a withdrawal due to the spending limit per day. Thank youI promise you that will ever be the last time your rude coworkers see me.Your have all my information if you like the review to be remove .

DO NOT use this bank. My husband and I recently moved to the area and were thinking about switching all of our banking here because they are right down the street. We opened an account to try them out a bit before switching everything over. The first time we used the ATM the machine ate our money. We let Frost know and they would not reimburse our money. It was $100. This was our hard-earned money and they just took it. We closed our Frost account and will be picking a different bank in the area to switch everything over to. So infuriating.

Going through the drive thru, I had a young African American lady with braids (didn't catch her name) help me on July 10th at around 11:30... I pulled up to the window and said hi how are you... got no response So I put my check in and my ID and sent the tube, waited for her to ask me what I needed today... nothing Got my whole check sent back to me in cash (NOT the service I was trying to accomplish) with not even a thank you or have a nice day.... just rude.
