My goto gunsmith for all my gun machining needs. They always tell me a higher price and longer time then finish faster and charge me less. Great guys who love history and historical items too, lots of neat bits of historical stuff in the storefront. Henry is a genuinely nice guy with a passion for history, and Paul is cool and gets most my stuff done. They’re especially reasonable when they have had some staffing issues(not caused by anything business related)

Grimes Gunsmithing Service is simply the best business to have all your firearm issues or upgrades resolved. I have had nothing but excellent service and professionalcraftsmanship performed here. As well, these folks are diligent and timely with the work. They will tell you up front if what your requesting is not safe, reasonable or parts attainable, be certain of that as they know their firearms. Regardless, I have always been very satisfied with any and every item I had them service. This business is vital to our community, their services are unique and trust worthy. I trust that whatever the Grimes team has repaired or improved for me will function properly as I can literally bet my life on it. Thank You Grimes Gunsmithing. 5 - A + Stars are not enough.

Mr Grimes and Paul are so of the most honest, knowledgable, and considerate men I've ever met. They've always been willing to help me with any issue I've ever had as well as putting up with my incessant questions. These two men are a wealth of knowledge that will forever hold a dear place in my heart for the experiences I got to have while working with them.

This is our new go to! A ton of people told us no, what we wanted couldn’t be done. Mr. Grimes did it, no problems! Price was very good and service was top notch!! I was treated with the same respect as my husband which generally doesn’t happen when we go to gun related places so he won me over right there. The lobby also has a lot of cool pieces of history! 100% recommend.

They do ok work but they're so slow it's ridiculous. They seem very unmotivated to get anything done in a timely manner. I wouldn't drop your gun off to them unless you plan on waiting a couple months to get it back. Even for something very simple. Count on having to call for updates and don't be surprised when they haven't even started on it yet.

I needed a set of TruGlo TFX Pro sights put on my HK P30SK. I love about 45 mins away from Grimes Gunsmith. I have a closer gunsmith but he isn’t open 3 days out of the week and won’t promise to do sights while you wait.Before I found Grines I drove to Plano to a gunsmith that has a lot of good reviews. Long story short the gunsmith was saying how the TruGlo sight are junk and said he couldn’t install them because they didn’t fit and that I should return them.So opting for a second opinion I found Grimes and called. The gent I talked to said to come on buy. Which from Plano was a another 45 min drive. I get there and explain what the previous guy told me. He said he uses the same sights on his gun. And guess what? He got the sights fitted on my P30SK. Perfectly centered. He said the sights were just a tight fit but they are fine.I highly recommend Grimes Gunsmith. Plus they have the PROPER equipment and you can see exactly what they are doing. 5 stars.

Very knowledgeable and talented gunsmiths. I took my pistol to 2 other gunsmiths that told me they could install night sights on it. Only to find they couldn't because it "wasn't designed to have sights replaced". I called Grimes and they assured me they could install them with no problem. I brought it to them planning to leave it for a few days but luckily they were able to work it in while I waited, which definitely isn't commonplace with gunsmithing services. Within 10 minutes the old sights were out and the new ones perfectly installed. Do not hesitate to use Grimes Gunsmithing! You will be happy.

Paul and Henry were fantastic to work with. I brought a new to me 77 year old M1 Garand and wanted a once over from a professional to make sure I was good to take it to the range. They worked quickly, shared their years of knowledge on cleaning and maintenance, checked it's head spacing and went above and beyond to make sure I was confidently safe to fire it. Any future work I need will come to Grimes.
