I have never ever in my whole life been charged $689 to prepare my taxes! I don't care with advance or not. The advance was interest and fee free. But this was more than absurd. I usually do my own with turbo tax and it's under $100. The only reason we went to Jackson Hewitt was to get the advance. We got a pretty good size return but the bank only approved us for $500. That doesn't even cover the charge for the tax prep. If I had known all this I would of just done my own and waited. I will never have my taxes prepared again. I can do them myself just fine.
