Wasn't that overwhelming for house plants or really outdoor flowers. From what I could tell it was a lot of shrubs and trees

Got there just in time to be told they were closing. The lady was very nice but didn't seem interested in my money.

I have been shopping at Yard Dog for at least five years. The owners Randy and Lynn are the kindest people. They are very passionate about their business and only sell what they know will grow in this area. The public needs to understand that there is just the two of them and they are sometimes stretched very thin. Patience and kindness is appreciated. The knowledge that I have gained shopping here is beyond what I could ask! Thank you Randy and Lynn for having a business that is so committed to what they sell and the kindness they give to the community!

Sent my sister to get some very specific plant (Hoya) and they just told her how they were very expensive they are… and were very condescending… trying to support local businesses is not ideal all the time, try Alldredge garden instead in Midland it’s worth the drive.

The only real nursery left in the Permian Basin, and if you want to shop here you have to have patience as the owners have aged like fine wine and just run on a different speed than us youngsters. Their clientele list is over flowing with business so it’s hard to take on new clients with the lack of work force. There are hardly any prices listed on the plants, so it’s best just to load up what you like and ask for pricing at check out. I also noticed while shopping that this nursery gives back to the community, by helping the children learn about plants. If you’re in the market for a fig tree this is the place, they have a huge selection of all kinds of figs. Love that all the plants sold here do well in Midland and Odessa zone 9 climate. Very unique nursery and a gem in west Texas. The Hoyas they have for sale are so full and lush 10 out 10 with my experience finally have my dream hoya

The people at yard dog are very knowledgeable about all kinds of plants. They only sell what will grow well in this area. They have never steered me wrong.
